About this item

  • Load-bearing Capacity: Made of high-quality iron structure, the total load of the wall-mounted kayak storage rack can reach 400 pounds, which can stably carry 4 kayaks. You can store kayaks with confidence. You can also use it to carry small canoes, paddle boards and other water sports equipment.
  • Adjustable: The adjustable hole design can adjust the size according to the model of the kayak, and the adjustment steps are relatively simple.
  • Wide Installation: Walls of different materials can be punched and installed, and the installation steps are very simple. One person can complete the installation.
  • Space-saving: The support rod is 29.53in long, which can carry wide kayaks. The upward tilt angle makes the kayak less likely to slide. Compared with the floor-standing rack, it saves more space.
  • Sturdy and Stable: Made of thickened iron; it is not easy to bend or break after long-term use. The surface is sprayed with a waterproof coating, which can withstand the test of sun and rain, and can be placed outdoors or indoors.

The wall-mounted kayak rack is sturdy and stable, suitable for storing sports equipment indoors or outdoors

Overall, this is a functional kayak mount. We have one full-size and moderately heavy kayak on it and it is doing exactly what it is supposed to do, mount the kayak. The metal is rather durable and it is holding up well; The ends are slanted a bit, I assume to help with keeping it from sliding off the rack as this appears to be the case. I like that the rack(s) are adjustable in height to allow for multiple different sizes of kayak. I also appreciate the ties included, so you can strap them in place to keep them from moving around on the rack, this limits potential for the kayak to slide around if bumped into, a nicely thought-out safety concern for a family like mine with curious kids.Though I overall am happy with this kayak mount, I do have a few minor complaints. The rack bars themselves, holding the kayak(s) up, they are a bit loose on the mounting bars. I believe this is a case of just moderately shoddy workmanship, though I could be wrong and they may account for some slack intentionally, though I can’t really see a point as to why they would make it this way, perhaps to prevent any breaking in the metal? Again the metal itself is durable so I really can’t say for sure. This has not caused any issues in using the rack at all, for me, but this does seem like it could pose some issues for when we have a second kayak hung up. I am not entirely confident on the structure being able to handle the mentioned weight limit of 90lbs. Only time will tell with this aspect.Aside from this minor concern, which is not currently a concern I need to have for our current use, it is functional and doing exactly what it needs to do.

The Flenpptly Wall-Mounted Kayak Storage Rack is a solid and reliable solution for keeping my kayaks and paddleboards neatly stored. It’s sturdy, easy to install, and holds everything securely without taking up valuable floor space. It holds up to 220 lbs, easily supporting my 16' canoe and roof topper box without any wobbling. The 4-tier design allows for flexibly storing 2 of your largest outdoor gear. The arms are adjustable to fit different sizes. It's really keeping my garage floor clutter-free while protecting my gear from damage. It came with all the necessary hardware and clear instructions for a hassle-free setup. This wall-mounted kayak rack is a must-have for anyone looking to store their water sports gear efficiently. It’s durable, adjustable, and well-designed—highly recommended for canoes and other long items.Fun thought: I've also found that it holds long boards (although not a whole lot of them. But if you have some really nice hardwood you don't want touching the ground, this will also hold those.

Easy to install on my shed wall. Seems sturdy enough, though there is some play in the connections between the upright supports and the bars that hold the kayaks. The only real issue is that the screw holes to attach the rack to the wall are in a square shape that's wider than a 2x4, so I was only able to use half of the mounting holes. Still, it's sturdy enough, and later I'll add some blocking to support the other holes. But ideally you'd attach this to two sistered 2x4s. The arms are pretty long -- long enough for my fairly fat Vibe Skipjacks to be stored face-down, which other racks weren't able to accommodate. I'm pretty satisfied so far. There's also eyes to attach bungie cords to hold the kayaks down, which is important in the very windy place I live.

When I first opened the package, I was worried that the rack would be too lightweight for holding my kayak. After quickly assembling the bars onto the bases, and tightening the screws (BTW, all tools needed for assembly are provided), the storage racks proved to be strong enough for the kayak. As you can see in the picture, the kit comes with anchors and screws to mount the brackets to a wall - I mounted it to studs to make sure it won't pull out. I don't recommend pulling down on the bars, but this does the job of holding 2 kayaks, at a reasonable price.

At $29 it might be okay. But I paid $59, really feel kind of ripped off.

This rack works, but I’m not impressed with the quality. I like that it has loops for ties and that it comes with long screws and plastic anchors for mounting, but the welds have a lot of slag, the angles aren’t uniform, and the holes are much larger than the bolts, allowing play in the assembly. In use, none of that really matters; this will get the job done, but there are probably nicer options.

I installed the rack on the exterior of a shed. The metal parts and hardware have sufficient painted coating so the rack should last out in the elements. The wall brackets are pre drilled and will take up to five screws each. Due to the width of the wall brackets, only two screws can hit a 1.5 inch stud. The installation was relatively easy. The rack does not fold down unless you take it apart. I put two medium weight kayaks on it with no problem. The design is relatively simple and it functions as expected . The horizontal bars are sufficiently long and angled slightly upward to accept even a wide bottom kayak. The eyelets built into the horizontal arms are handy for attaching restraining cords. On an interior installation I would anticipate the rack lasting indefinitely.

I am very pleased with these kayak holders. They are easy to assemble and very minimalist. In under 10 minutes, I had my kayaks off of sawhorses and sitting neatly behind my garage!
