Larger than expected. It came with a template, however I placed it on a window. The adhesive seems strong and has stayed in place.

Update: I changed my review to four stars from one because the seller was so unbelievably helpful. The seller contacted me and offered some solutions quickly. It is a nice planter, just make sure to check the size carefully because it was about half the size I was expecting and I needed a bigger one. That's on me for not checking the measurements more closely, I was just going by the photos. It did have a few chips and scratches but, again, the seller was awesome.

I got the black moon. It is much smaller than I expected. Also felt like it was plastic than steel.

I grew some succulent starts in water in order to have plants to put into this.Succulents grow easily in water, so this reduced any additional cost.Adding a little bit of soil was all that was needed to make this super cool planter complete.I think the hardest part was not wanting to spend a whole bunch of additional funds for plants, so once I wrapped my head around the low cost approach, it all came together!!!Succulents are a good choice as they can live without tons of water, and this planter does not have drainage and with succulents it is not actually needed. Just lightly watering a little bit occasionally is great. Placed near sunshine would be super helpful too to encourage and maintain growth!Highly recommended for a unique and low maintenance planter.A+++

I rather like this moon wall hanging planter. The finish has a vintage look and the hallow provides quite a few fun options.You can easily plant live succulents in this vessel. Or make a display of natural bits of driftwood, pretty stones and shells. Dried flowers would look amazing. I've filled mine with foam and have changed out artificial flowers and greenery according to the high holiday of the month; I have found some gorgeous artificial picks and doo-dads here on Amazon.This was super easy to hang with the hanger holes already attached. It's constructed of metal and made well enough to take probably 3-5 pounds of weight, depending what your installation can bear. I'd add a protective layer if adding live plants as the interior is the same finish as the exterior and likely not water resistant.If you find this piece appealing don't hesitate to grab one for yourself. I'm very pleased with this enchanting product and the versatility it's brought into my space.

This planter is very cute. It is quite shallow, so you have to be careful what you plant in it. I put a hanging vine in it and struggled to water it because the water would leak out of the planter onto the windowsill below. I decided to repot my vine and use it for my air plants so I don't have to worry about water getting everywhere.
