You would think from the description that this is merely a change in size but these are also different types of fittings - NPT and compression. I needed both to be compression and it took me a long time to figure out why the 1/2 inch fitting didn’t fit. Plumbing terminology really needs more precision. These are very good quality but hope to find the fittings I really needed.

I used them when I installed recirculation valves. They come with 1/2 ends on them while my faucets are the 3/8. This allowed easy connections to them with minimal work. and at a fraction of the price my local big box store was charging.

I've replaced several faucets over the years, and I needed this adapter for a new faucet I purchased. After installing everything and turning on the water, the hoses were leaking/spraying at the wall. When I removed the hoses (connected by thesw adapters) the washers were twisted and pulled halfway down the adapter/hose spaces. I removed the rubber washers, set them carefully in the adapters, reattached them, and tried again. This time only the hot water side had the issue. I'm not sure if this is a normal problem, but the people I talked to who deal with plumbing professionally said this shouldn't happen. I haven't sorted out the hot water side yet, but since it's a 4 pack, I plan to see if one of the others in the pack will work better.

Went to HD multiple times, without being able to make the new faucet install work... Many of the new faucets are now 1/2", so easy reducer (from older home 3/8"). (of course, not for compression fitting). This one did the job ! and comparatively good price.

Tried finding a reducer locally so that I didn’t need to replace the 1/2 shut off valves. Nice quality product at a decent price. Didn’t need 4, but the price differential between 2 and 4 pieces is negligible and this was available next day Prime, so went for it.Handy to have a couple of spares in case I replace some additional faucets.

Measurements of item sent do match measurements advertised. It will not adapt to a 3/8 compression fitting as advertised. It will not adapt to US sinks as advertised.

Funciona bien, aunque me hubiera gustado que las gomas internas estuvieran más ajustadas para que no se salgan cuando la estás colocando, pero una vez puestas funcionan correctamente
