Replaced a well used and neglected grill to give it new life. Love my little Weber grill and didn't hesitate to replace the rusted bottom grate. This grill was outside and neglected for years before it needed any replacement parts. Great fit and top quality.

I needed to replace the old grate, it was falling apart from abuse. I use an old heat gun to blow on the coals to speed up the prep time. Once the lighter fluid burns off, the air from the gun acts like a bellows to fan the flames to red hot, cuts the prep time in half, it also increases the temperature, which weakens the grate over time. The new grate is heavy duty and should last a very long time. Happy with my purchase.

After several years of heavy use, I finally had to buy a replacement grill grate for my little Smokey Joe Weber. This is not the grill top, but the charcoal grate that sits at the bottom of the Weber and holds the charcoal. It measures 10.5", just right for the small tabletop Smokey Joe grill. The product arrived on time and in excellent condition. It fits perfectly and does the job. Not much else to say. Though it is clear that these grates have a limited lifespan. They tend to rust and corrode quickly, especially if the grill is not cleaned out regularly--and stored inside during the winter months.PROS:--Measures 10.5" in diameter and fits the Weber Smokey Joe perfectly--Solid constructionCONS:--Tends to corrode if not cared for regularly

Dieser Kohlerost des kleinen Weber, dem Smokey Joe, ist an und für sich nichts besonderes aber:Die Abstände der Stäbe ist größer sodass die Brikettes sich durch die eigene Asche nicht mehr selber ersticken. Die Asche kann leichter runter fallen und die Kohle bekommt weiterhin ausreichend Luft und hält konstanter die Temperatur.Wenn man sich noch die Mühe macht im Smokey Joe Premium im Kessel unten eine Ventilation so wie bei großen 57er einzubauen (siehe Foto), so gibt der kleine Smopkey Joe erst richtig Gas!
