This lap-pad is a godsend in my classroom! It is weighted, but not too heavy. This is great for the students who need a little something extra to keep them from wiggling. In addition, it has the flippy sequins, which add an engaging bit (for the students who need a little weight, but initially shove a lap pad off). These students get distracted by the sequins, and they whole thing ends up calming them and having them able to sit instead of running around. Now, it's not magic! But there are one or two students in my room for whom this is VERY useful! The only down side is that the sequin part seems like it is a little cheaply made. It is fine for now, and we have been using it for a month plus (though not every day), but I don't think that it will last for more than a year or so.

I am a school Occupational Therapist and this weighted sequin lap pad is perfect for multiple of my Elementary students. We've used it in the classroom, school library, and everywhere in between. It's very soft on one side, and the sequin side provides a great visual & tactile fidget tool. It's a good size without being too big, and heavy enough for use without being too heavy & a safety issue. Highly recommend!

I love this weighted lap pad! I also love flip beads so this is ideal and I use it in my therapy practice for myself and some of my clients use it too. It’s well made and the flip beads are fun to make designs out of and just play with. It’s relaxing and the weight is not too heavy but really nice. I love it!

So I was under the impression that one side would be blue, while the other being green but the top sequins changes in the light/ angle at which you look at it. Its not what we expected but it's neat to say the least. Flipping them brings it to a black side which is a good contrast for him to draw pictures. My almost 5 year old has restless legs (plmd) and while worse at bedtime, he struggles with sitting in a chair, his legs are pretty much always on the go. This is the perfect size lap blanket for his age. It calms his legs, gives him something to fidget with (sequins) and the underside is really soft. It seems well made. Its also compact enough to just take with us. Highly recommended!

I ordered this to use in my elementary special education classroom. It is exactly as advertised. The weight is heavy enough to be effective with children and adults but light enough to be safe and easily moved around. The mermaid fabric is well-made, enjoyable, and not scratchy like some sequin fabrics can be. The other side is soft. I love how the weight it separated into sections so it can't completely fall to one side. Definitely a great product!

This arrived the day after the order was placed! I’m impressed by the quality of this weighted lap pad. The fleece backing is incredibly soft. The weight feels evenly distributed and the sequins move as intended. This is a perfect option for anyone looking for items to promote self regulation and relaxation through sensory supports.

The mermaid sequin side is super fun for little ones to satisfy their sensory needs. It's easy and fun to flip and not scratchy at all. It's made from similar material as Ty sequin stuffed animals. Weight is evenly distributed, underside of blanket is very soft, the blanket promotes a sense of calm overall. Washable, but I'd be gentle with it given the sequins. Great buy.
