Didn't realize how great this actually is. Though it's heavy, it definitely blocks all Bb's from any thing else. and unlike the vinyl ones this reassures that it'll last a long time. I've used it as a blanket as well, moreover to cover another part to displace heat, rather than to cover myself.

We have a spiral rod iron staircase that had some spots that needed welded. We got this to cover the flooring and wall behind it worked great, no damage at all. Great investment

This is a great blanket. High quality stitching around the edges to keep it from coming apart. The bag it comes in was way better quality than expected. I use the blanket to protect my garage floors during welding, grinding, and plasma cutting. I would not say that it is light weight, but it is not supposed to be.

Im not entirely sure that it is fiberglass or not it feels very supple almost like a polyester weave or multi-material cloth. Its heavy , guess i could of tried to burn a spot to see if it melts like Polyester. I figured if it is fiberglass and holds up to welding slag, maybe it would hold up to delaying direct flames for fire prevention or delay? Who knows. I hope to never find out but then again wish i could test it for that to know if it would or not lol. I rolled it up ,tied the roll with flame ignition fuse and screwed the remaining end to the ceiling above a solar electric panel wall. Why? idk it seemed like a good idea lol in hopes that if the electrical panels for some reason ever caught fire it might burn the fuse before it burned the roof and drop the roll of fiberglass down over the wall to delay ignition to the ceiling or spread slower. idk. probably just wishful thinking considering fire can still burn behind it if it has fuel already ( woof wall and electronics) by maybe it would delay it enough for someone to notice and prevent the fire from spreading to another building or brush. maybe ill buy a smaller one and test it with a torch.

VERY heavy and works well. Too heavy, i think, to use as curtain, but works great to cover up
