I am new into welding and got this for my new hobby. It works as I expected and I would purchase again. I have nothing to compare it to but I find it of decent quality.

Part of the fun of welding is beating on your finished product. The Bamboo's Grocery "Welding Chipping Hammer with Coil Spring Handle, Cone and Vertical Chisel Welding Chipping Hammer (Hammer)" is your typical welder's hammer to remove slag. The item is just as described.

For under $10 this is an OK starter welding hammer. Nothing to write home about, but will get the job done for a while. Hammers are pretty basic tools, so as long as they don't fall apart on you when you use them they are basically doing what they should. I don't think this is going to last for years, but it will get you through until you figure out what you are doing and pick up a proper set of tools.

Well for just starting out learning to weld this hammer is marginal useful. After a few minutes of chipping slag the point and chisel end already showing signs of being far too soft. The heat treat is clearly not good. The head is slightly canted off center and you can tell using it. It's usable, but don't think it will last long.

Works great to get rid of that slag and to get into those small corner spaces Spring handle helps with the harmonic vibrations to your hand plus a good grip when you have a glove on . Overall length is 10’’ and it has a good balance to it just the right size for getting to some tight arears.

This is a hammer not a decorative piece, but it’s painted and not especially well. The first whack with it on a piece of steel caused the paint on both ends to chip and come off. It remains to be seen how well it holds up beyond that as I don’t have a practical use for it at the minute, but it seems decently hardened. It’s small but well weighted for its size and feels like I can get a pretty good and accurate swing out of it, so it should work well for its intended use. For the price I’m pleased with it and would recommend as long you understand its use case.

I've been using my old sheet metal tapper hammer to knock off slag. It's 60 years old and needs a rest. I think this smaller lighter hammer will be just right now.
