Bought this for welding my mower deck back together the auto darkening feature works great for different levels of darkness. The gloves fit perfect I've been using them in the summer for my fireplace too. great quality all around

I bought this to replace my HF Chigago Electric helmet for the same price and couldn't be happier! First, the head strap stripped out on my Chicago helmet (hot glued it to get by), but then the display died which is when I discovered the batt is not replaceable. Chigago's are disposable junk, do not buy. This LIMXYZ lid, although still low buck, is FAR better for the same price. Replaceable batts w/ spares included. Plus the extra gloves are top notch, very thick yet flexible and bunny butt soft on the inside. I'm an auto body tech so have been mig welding for decades, but I honestly do go cheap on home gear. I am very impressed with this one out of the box. Great clarity & real color, fast switching, and a 5 way adjustable head band. 2 top band adjustments,1 backside dial, 5 flip up stop adjustments, and 5 face to shield distance adjustments. I have no input as far as long term reliability but I'm much happier than when I bought a local Chicago lid.

As a beginner welder to pair up with my HF welder is was the deal. Pair of gloves and the helmet. I like that it was light and the head brackets had 3 points of adjustments and well padded. The controls to adjust the brights works well and easy to use

This helmet has the replaceable battery option that my old HF Auto Darkening helmet does not. Easier to replace a battery than to wonder what to do when the solar batteries fail. For about the same price. The viewing area looks the same as the HF. This helmet also has dials to adjust the sensitivity and delay time where the HF has a two position switch for each. The headband is a step up also. it appears thicker and stronger and has upward viewing angle adjustment. It has provisions for using "Cheater Lenses" for those with eye challenges. The Auto Darkening works as it should. Comes with extra clear lenses and a replacement battery. A good helmet that is better than a good helmet. Well worth considering for a hobby welding helmet or a backup for a "Daily Driver". Oh yeah, the included gloves seem pretty good as well. A little small for my hands, but I would have no problem welding with them.
