Installation is easy as it gets! The only thing I'd add is some type of seal to keep any moisture away from the contacts. I smeared them with dielectric grease and wrapped it up with heavy electrical tape to keep the plug dry. That's all the advice I would add.

Added the plug to my Hyd tilt trailer to connect a battery tender. Just need a 2†hole saw to drill mounting hole.

Very happy with product. Needed to be able to run temporary power into the shed but didn't want to have shed door not close properly. Now can have power in shed, can use a maintenance charger to charge my batteries on the quad/lawn mower during the winter or hook up an overhead light. Just drill a small hole in the shed wall, install the unit, has a good rubber seal, might take it apart later and put some silicone around it so when you screw it to the wall it pushes the silicone out, just add a little more water protection. Will get an indoor/outdoor power bar and hook up on the inside so have multiple plugins.
