A great alternative to the much more expensive Dremel tool. My rechargable Dremel battery had given up so I replaced the whole tool with this. It is compatible with all my existing Dremel bits. Works great so far. At this price point, you don't get a brushless motor, so it does get a bit warm and it's lifespan is probably limited, but for light use it's great value

Fantastic rotary tool. I ordered this after my Dremel died on me and the cost of a comparable replacement was ridiculous. I had heard of WEN in the past when I was looking to buy a new drill press and really only ever heard good things, so I decided to give them a shot. Once in a while I get it right and this was one of those times. This tool is comfortable in the hand, has plenty of adjustable power, fantastic battery life and great bonus features. The added light at the end of the tool is extremely helpful and not overbearing. The unit came with a charge on it and I kept wondering when it was going to stop but it seemed to run for days. Charging was quick and I was buck up and running. The accessory kit provided ample enough attachments to get you going on just about any type of small project. This was my first WEN product but definitely not my last.

While trying to tightening down the collet/chuck on the end of the flexible shaft, the inner metal shaft itself sheared loose of the housing of the handle, ripping apart parts of the handle, and is no longer useable. That’s fine, since I didn’t plan on using the flexible shaft much, but it still knocks a star off of the review in my opinion—it broke and is not useable. Otherwise, it’s pretty perfectly comparable to a dremel in size, noise, power and power adjustment, and utility. 9.5/10

Good grief!How can this be any good at a price of 25$ ???Amazingly, it is - quite good indeed.Reading the other reviews, I get the feeling that some are trying desperately to find something wrong with this deal. As far as I can tell, it is the equal of moto-tools at three times the price. And it comes with a functional flexible shaft, and several attachments - including a workable router base, and a box of sanding-grinding-cutting-drilling bits, and the much-needed set of collets. And also, a nice organized storage pouch to hold everything together.Wen is a terrific company for decent quality inexpensive tools. Check out their 10" x 40 tooth carbide circular saw blade for $12.36! Amazing - and it works!

I used to use a Dremel tool all the time when I was a kid 25-30 years ago And they always cost a fortune back then. I really liked the fact that this came with the flex shaft attachment, and the variety of accessories that came with the tool for the price. I very much like that you’re able to adjust the speed of the motor. I cannot speak to its durability yet as I’ve only used it on a couple of projects, but it has worked very well. The flex shaft makes it very versatile for multiple different jobs. I personally got it for cleaning metal in a hard to reach spot under the hood of my car. It’s accorded Dremel so you don’t have to worry about the battery going dead. The only thing I noticed was the motor labored a little bit if you bent the flex shaft too far. Seems durable enough, and I especially liked the fact that it came with the part number and instructions for replacing the brushes in the motor.

I bought 3 for dog nail trims. Now 2 out of 3 works. 3rd one light won't shut off when charged so the wiring is not right.Won't stop me from buying more since they're quiet, has great light and works great. Just a pity it has to be that way.

I'm becoming a fan of wen products.Lately, I've completely lost faith in craftsman because they're made as cheap as possible and you cant get parts for them any more.After going through 3 craftsman sanders in less then a year (all 3 broke the same way and they don't sell the part that goes out), I bought a wen sander. It was half the price of craftsman, and 2 years later it's still going strong. I use my sanders every day. The wen sander is a very good product at a good price.So when my dremel quit I was going to get another but they were $50 for just the dremel.This wen was less then $20 and it came with lots of add-ons.After using it a bit, it works just as good as my dremel did, and I'm sure it will hold up just fine.Great item at a really great price!

Can't complain, with this you get better than what you pay for. I bought this to see if it could cut off a brass fitting inside a wall. I still have plenty of cutting wheel left. Using cable was great to get at a few old nails to remove. Couldn't use hammer as wall too delicate. Recommended product.

The machine is a total waste. I bought this rotary tool on the 18th of April ‘18 and was delivered to me on the 24th of April ‘18.In one day of use, in which the usage was just to test the product, the below mentioned things have happened.1. In 10 minutes of first time use, the sanding drum mandrel bent out of shape after immense vibrations. The sanding drum ripped apart while sanding a piece of soft wood.2. The flex shaft which i installed as per the manual overheated and the wire melted away.3. The cutting disk broke while in use and flew towards my face. Now i have a battle scar right below my lower lip.4. There is sparking inside the machine.WEN industries should really look into these issues.

For a couple of years now, I have wanted a Dremel tool bit simply could not bring myself to spend the money. Many jobs came and went, where I wished I had one. Quite by chance, I happened upon this rotary tool WITH A FLEX SHAFT and a number of assorted bits for a price that made it hard to say "no".As soon as it arrived, I started using it. While I will say that a couple of the sanding drums slipped a bit on the end of the shaft under pressure, all in all, I am super impressed.The assortment of bits, the variable speed of the tool and the added value of the flex shaft, made this a fantastic buy. Suddenly I was seeing a ton of jobs that I could benefit using this tool for and now I wonder how I went this long without one of these. Although I can not speak to it's longevity, I will say that this is an even greater value than I was hoping it would be. This is one of the better "surprises" from my many purchases on Amazon. I will buying a few more of these to take care of a couple of birthdays and possibly a Christmas gift or two. I believe in it that much.Will update review if anything is worthy of reporting over time...
