This grinder has all the features that a homeowner might need at a darn good price too. Once the attachments were secured, it ran like it is supposed to. The goose neck lamp is a feature that adds considerably to the utility of the tool. One of the tool rests required a couple hammer taps for alignment. The slow start feature is definitely a plus as other reviews have mentioned. The grinding wheels themselves were already installed and they ran true; they should last my lifetime. And it’s so smooth that it shouldn’t need to be bolted in place.

So for the price, the grinder itself isn't too bad. I've used it to clean up some tools and re-bevel some chisels. There is a little wobble in the stones and the tool rest is really quite bad, but otherwise, it's performed as expected.

This will come in handy for my home projects. Never walk away from a bench grinder while the wheels are still rotating. And never leave it running while unattended. I always wait until a bench grinder stops turning completely before proceeding to the next thing. Here’s an example: I was helping out at a shop once and I needed to use the bench grinder. Well, as I approached it , I realized that someone left the grinder on and you couldn’t really tell it was on because of all the other noises happening there. But I noticed it was still running because I was needing to use it so I was looking at the wheels as I approached it. Imagine if I or someone else was not needing to use it and not really paying attention to it because you’re not focusing on it. Someone could have put a hand near enough for it to lose a finger. Ever since then I always assume that someone else could have used the bench grinder before me and left it running accidentally. I think like that for my own safety’s sake..So be careful, even at home. Act like you’re at work when youre working at home. Follow safety precautions. Use eye protection! Err on the side of caution at all times.
