Nice protractor works as it should.. had to put loctite on the nut to stop it from coming loose .. don't know why they can't put Teflon nuts on them it would stop that problem.. but all protractors do it

It's very hard to read but it is accurate. The knob to tighten or lock it doesn't snug that great. You really have to turn it quite hard to keep it from moving.

The first thing I did when opening this was test it with my machinist square, and the 90° setting was perfect.I like that it has a knob to tighten it in place.Overall, great accuracy, nice feature, solid for its size.It doesn't seem to want to stick to my garage magnets, but that's good or bad, depending on your use. It doesn't matter to me.

While this is a well made product, it lacks the ability to lock a measurement in place. To me, preserving your measurement of an angle is critical to this tools usefulness.

This adjustable protractor is laser etched so its markers will not rub off with time; I bought the 5-inch model to suit my design needs.EDIT: Very satisfied after measuring a 20-degree cutting angle for a well-loved knife. The protractor and angle gauge was spot-on and worked brilliantly. The tool has a nice tactile feel.

There is a nice contrast with the scales and the blackbackground. The only thing I don't like about ALL of these protractors is that they don't "lock" into position and can easily moved by accident. Yamer
