I wish it was a little thicker plastic. Mine was delivered in a paper sack type envelope and was bent in transit, so was unusable. After on hold quite awhile with their service dept I finally just had to leave my number for a return call. They did call me right back and quickly replaced the item without return of the damaged one. At least the second one was mailed in a cardboard box and not bent! Works great on some of my crafting!

Love this. It has spaced holes that you can use to for accurately piercing signatures for binding. It has a slot where you can cut in the middle of a page, or space custom piercing distances. It's accurate, clear, well-labelled and wonderful.

This ruler was wider and more flimsy than I expected, but it turned out to be a desirable feature as I often measure across materials with different thicknesses. I may not use it regularly, but it sure is handy to have when I need it.

The last Westcott Plastic Zero Centering 18-Inch Ruler I bought was made of matte plastic. It was fine when it was brand new, but the black ink wore away and the ruler quickly became dirty and hard to see through.The new one is of a thicker, glossy plastic. It's much sturdier and should last longer.

Firstly as others have said it is a very thin and could be considered flimsy. However when you consider the purpose of this ruler that is of no concequence. It has one purpose only to enable the user to quickly and easily find the centre of sheet of paper or card . This is a great idea I have made mistakes in doing this over the years and ruined art work.. This rule makes finding centre as easy as falling off a log. Whoever thought this up is a genius a must for any artist and crafter.

I didn't know these existed until I came across it when searching for ordinary rulers. What a great find - it saves you having to do complicated mental arithmetic when trying to place anything centrally, whether it's screw holes in the wall or diagrams on paper. It is made of thin flexible plastic and is not rigid as I expected, but still extremely useful.
