This tool is well made and functions well. I am glad to have purchased it because it made adjusting the rear brake shoes the easiest that I have ever done.

If you have never used an inside mic, you will have some problems setting it up, and that's the only reason for 4 stars. It works using a similar process as an inside mic, so take your time setting it and don't get impatient. Other than that it is very durable.

Have nothing bad to say about this. If you have rear drums this cuts time Way down when installing new shoes. No tire spinning or fussing with the adjuster when putting the drum back on. Really takes the guess work out of the whole job.

I saw the reviews from some people who said it didn't work right but realized that using this tool is a little more involved than you would suspect. First you make sure the sliding plates stay parallel to each other and lock down the tool as you are measuring your drum . Next remeasure the drum keeping the tool locked notice approximately how far off you are, then using the scale, readjust the tool a remeasure the drum. Keep doing this until you are close enough making sure you keep the two slides parallel every time. The parking brake on my equinox was never adjusted correctly until I got this tool.
