Building on this success, the WF-8900-AD Series now includes an industry first, Patent Pending Auto-Detect technology. This new microprocessor driven technology will recognize lithium ion and lead acid battery chemistries and automatically adjust the charging profile to match the battery type. No more buttons. No more switches. RV owners will have the peace of mind that their batteries will be accurately charged, eliminating the risk of over and under charging. Additionally, with multi-stage charging and current monitoring in both lead acid and lithium profiles, battery life will be maximized.

I recently (February 2016) purchased a 2008 Palomino Puma 28 ft travel trailer. This was my first time purchasing a camper. I have never owned one before and considered myself a novice, at best. The previous owner bought the trailer brand new and maybe used it 10 times. The rest of the time, the trailer sat in the woods. After re-purposing the roof, servicing the water heater, flushing the water pipes, replacing the battery and replacing the tires we (my family and I) decided to take it on our first camping trip. After the initial hookup to the 30 Amp power supply, everything seemed to work perfectly. Then, after a day of camping, I noticed the lights started to dim. I used a battery charger to keep the lights working for the rest of the trip and started to trace everything with my multi-meter.After testing all breakers, fuses, lines and testing the converter box I finally concluded the converter was dead. So, I started calling around to three of my local RV repair shops and the lowest quote I could get for this power station was $278.00. I was also quoted $210.00 for JUST the converter. Luckily, trusty Amazon came to the rescue. I purchased this power center for $162.00 and installed it this weekend and it works amazingly! The install was not difficult to figure out, but it was a little tedious considering all of the rewiring and the tight spaces (I am not a small person). I started by drawing a small schematic of the existing box. I then used yard sale stickers to label each wire and breaker. I then removed every wire from the existing box, and breakers. After it was completely disconnected, I removed the old unit. After that, I switched out each breaker, fuse and then rewired the new box. Subsequent to the new install, the converter is now pushing 13.5 Amps straight to the battery and completely charged it within an hour. Success! I think after all my hard work, new understandings, experience and work, I can elevate my status from novice to competent and I hope to be well on my way to expert. Happy camping! :)

Product came prompt and in good packaging. No instructions but if you follow the diagram from the original you should be good. I had no issues and it works great. Much quieter than my old one. Smells better too. The picture is the old on the left and I’m just plug and play the wire from the old set to the new one

The product arrived a day earlier than expected. It was securely packaged and showed no signs of damage.I ordered the WF-8955-AD as a direct replacement for a failing WF-8955PEC. The failing power center is the original unit in my 2009 Wildwood 26TBSS.The old unit was not supplying consistent 12-volt current to the camper. Additionally, it was not charging the battery. Based on these symptoms I believed that the converter was failing.Since the complete power center is less than $30 more than just the converter, I bought the full power center. I had been corresponding with WFCO support prior to the purchase, and they advised that I could simply remove the converter from the new unit and install it in the old power center. The installation worked exactly as they advised. The installation video they sent me was very helpful, even though it was for a different model. Installation took about an hour, and the screw holes for the new converter matched the old housing perfectly.I’m now sitting in my camper, with the slide fully extended, and all lights shining brightly and steadily. I still need to hook up the battery and make sure that it charges as expected, but based on the results I see so far I’m confident that the battery charger will work as well.I’m a happy camper!Update: the new power center is charging the camper battery as expected.

Installation and Manual are not written for amateurs. I had to research several other sources before and during installation and trouble shooting. After installing it the first time and it not working properly I called their tech support. Great call. Great help. The unit still did not work so I called back, told them what was going on, the guy said "Send it back, I know exactly what it wrong with it and it's covered under warranty." Great call. Great help. I was a disappointed that the unit did not work but I was not in a hurry so I was ok with it. Before I sent the unit back I called one more time. Maybe they had my number by this time because the lady I talked to was not very helpful. She said "Did you read the Return Instructions? It clearly tells you how to return the product." Well ok. Good day to you too. The product was returned with paperwork stating it was functioning properly. I installed it a second time with the assistance of someone who knows a little more about electricity and it works.

Replaced old converter that was causing lights to pulse light to dim. Was exact size, shape, connections as old one. Labeled wires as removed from old box and put in same spots in new one. Works great, issue is fixed! Took maybe 2 hrs at most.

After my amazing hubby decided to plug our 30amp camper into a 50amp breaker. Haha We discovered that we would need a completely new power converter station. Figured out what we needed and found it much cheaper here! We have installed it and everything is working perfectly.

The 55 amps provide plenty of power, and the installation was straightforward. It keeps my batteries charged efficiently, and I love the compact design.

Hired a mobile RV technician to install. Runs flawlessly fully loaded. Many of the problems I was having are now a thing of the past.

I'm good with electrical stuff so for me it was a plug and play experience, real easy ! Only annoying thing is the door keeps opening when vibrations are close to it. The retaining clip is not sturdy enough.
