Ok, so this is way cheaper than a power-edger, probably why you're looking at it. I was in the similar situation: buy this thing or spend a lot more on a power edger. The thing is, my lawn is one of those smallish lawns just in the front, with other types of landscaping around it, so I didn't feel like paying a lot for a tool that I'll use infrequently. On the other hand, I hadn't properly edged my lawn in a few years (weed whacker doesn't really do the job honestly).Well, I opted for this manual edger. And, I have a teenager who I can (partially) enlist in the process. Yes, the plastic threads for putting the tool together are kinda silly, but actually held up just fine. The tool head is sharp, and worked well. It IS A LOT of work to edge like this, and if it's significantly overgrown it'll take a lot of repeat passes and manual lifting debris out of the little channel. I was impressed by what a tough job this could be. I kept telling my kid "next time this will be a lot easier" lol. Yeah, it probably will. The first time was a bear. BUT this ain't the tool's fault, it performed admirably and held up to an overgrown ill-maintained lawn. It also worked really well on the bender board edge that runs about halfway around my lawn, so there's that. Worked on the concrete sidewalk edge and bender board, and I wasn't hopeful that it would, but it was fine. If the pole ever breaks I suppose you could get a wooden one from a big box store and attach it that way?If you're using this regularly on a smallish well-maintained lawn, go for it. If your lawn is big, or way overgrown, or you're not in the best of health, maybe hire someone or get a power edger.

It's a manual edger. It's solid good build quality. It's easy to use but this does not work better than electric edger but it's a good tool to have . You get good value for your money.

Unfortunately, I've learned to not be very hopeful when it comes to Chinese products. However, this tool at least is well made and works beautifully. I'm actually a bit impressed. I recommend this highly.

I found this edger quite difficult to use (56F with weak upper body and bad back), and it didn't do a clean job. This is likely because my lawn was pretty messy and overgrown when I first tried to use it. My teenager son had an easier time with it, but it still didn't get a clean line along my walkway. I would say that this is a decent edger if your lawn is already in good shape and you're doing routine yardwork, but not if you've let things go. With a well manicured lawn and a strong upper body, this edger could be fine for you, at a competitive price.

I have been working on doing my own lawn care this summer and it has been a fun journey learning about what works and doesn't work around the home. I am a little too scared to do my own weed wacking with the electric one so I got the manual edger to keep things tidy in between visits from my bf when he has a go at the edges. I like how it came with segments which lets you decide if you need the extra height. I decided to just use all of the pieces (I'm 5'7") and it is good length for me. The edger really works best if there isn't too much to edge off as you roll the device forward or else it gets stuck and you have to stop and pick off the excess from the blade. Also, you will need to use this on an edge that has pavement or sidewalk for you to effectively roll the tool. For the rest, you'll have to rely on a different tool. At this price point, I guess it is just nice to have options around in your shed that each do a little something (as I'm learning).

Jokes..it’s great. Not only great…I decided to amend my rating and my review because it’s pretty impressive after working up a sweat with it today. I used to use this before whipper snipping, now I am going old skool again and loving the exercise and ease of use. Big thumbs up ðŸ‘
