We bought this set of hammer and punches some years ago, and I've probably used it at least a couple times a week since we got it. It's perfect for small projects, like gun smithing or 3D printing, machine work, anything that needs a fine hand and small tools to knock things into or out of holes. This is my go-to whenever I need a small hammer, for anything. The punches are well made and durable, and the hammer is perfectly weighted. It has a metal striking surface and a plastic striking surface, which is handy.

Good tool kit for the money. The case is nice, tools are of good quality and will suffice for average servicing. If you are setting up your bench for service work you might look into something more robust and professional. This is a good kit to keep in your cleaning tools arsenal. Recommended.

I was a bit skeptical buying this because some bad reviews stating the punches bend or break easy an the hammer is cheap quality but I'm glad I ordered it anyways.I needed a set to take apart my sccy cpx 2 an this set did the job great no issues I did get a slight bend in one of the small steel punches but that was more my fault I'm sure because I got it stuck in a frame pin hole, tapped it in a tad to far and had to pull an twist an hammer it out backwards but it still works great. Ive used it since than an it hasn't bent anymore so I'd say it's a pretty strong little punch. so far I've used this set to hammer out pins on a couple firearms and replace a clutch arm on a 300ex 4 wheeler. I also love that it comes in a hard case to keep everything nice and handy and organized. it is hard to get some of the punches in an out of there spots, it's a tight fit, but I'd rather have it be to tight then to loose an falling out or rattling an it'll probably loosen up a bit from use.

My old set was missing a few punches here and there from use over the years. My beautiful bride bought me a shop building to do my leather workin and gunsmithin in. I’m pretty sure she did that just to get me to take all of that stuff outta the new ranch house. She never had a problem with me workin leather and gunsmithin in the old house. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, new house came with some new rules. Leather workin and gunsmithin has been tossed out. I can’t complain though since she bought me a nice little cabin that has AC (which is important here in South Texas), a nice bench, and plenty of lights. So since I got me a fancy workshop for leather workin and gunsmithin, I figured I’d get me some new tools as well. This is a good little set for gunsmithin and other small projects.

Decent set for the money, the hammer is a little undersized but I guess it has to be in order to fit in the case. I shattered the nylon face through my own incompetence because I was using it to wail on a wrench trying to break a bolt loose. I tried to find a replacement face but could not find one on Amazon small enough. I called Wheeler and they sent me an entire new hammer no charge. Only issue is that the hammer they sent me is the not the one from the set to it is too large to fit in the case, but hey, its free. Great customer service!
