I just unboxed this small canister vacuum cleaner and immediately read the quick instructions on parts, set up, and use. I must tell you I've never had a better vacuum than this one. It is unbelievably quiet and powerful and it doesn't blow air out of the back end as some of your less expensive vacuums. The cord is long and retracts nicely. It retracts slowly and doesn't fly into the machine and practically take your eye with it. The extension handle is actually made of metal, not cheap plastic, but yet lightweight. The connectors to the handle are well made and won't come apart while vacuuming. The hose is long and made of a nice rubber and will not kink or tangle. I love the top mount hose as the machine will not fall over while pulling. It rolls so nice and smooth on my house full of hardwood floors. You can adjust the suction on the top of the machine with the circular knob as well as on the handle itself. It is not as lightweights as some of the cheaper small made canisters, but by all means very easy to carry with the handle. I'm 70 years old and it is definitely light enough for me carry to do steps, etc.On the slightly negative side, the tools that are included with the machine are small and not what you expect to get with such a high end vacuum. That was disappointing. I found it necessary to purchase a package of better tools for the Soniclean which added to the already slightly higher priced machine. The added tool package was around $129.00. This however, did not cause me to give a lower star rating for this product because the GOOD far exceeds the bad. Also, just as an added comment I don't think you can purchase the bags for this vacuum locally, but they are readily available on line.Germany certainly knows how to make a fine, well made vacuum cleaner in this new Whisper Jet C-2. I think it is a great product and well worth the extra money.

I bought this vacuum cleaner over two years ago and it is still running like a brand new machine. It is my first canister vacuum and I don't think I will ever go back to an upright. This little guy is so powerful, quiet and versatile. It is also incredibly sturdy which is such a welcome and much appreciated quality in a world of "disposable" appliances. We have six teenagers who use this vacuum regularly and they haven't broken it yet! The customer support is also fantastic. Our puppy chewed up one of the plastic parts and when I reached out to the company to see if I could purchase a replacement, they sent it to me for free. I was so pleased with them that I purchased their steam cleaner and I love it, too!

This works fine. I do not notice any of the problems others mentioned - yet. There is one problem - the replacement bags seems to have a scent on them. For people buying this that are MCS scented bags absolutely cannot be used. The bag in the machine is not scented. I have hung one of the scented ones outside to see if it just picked up a scent in transit. The vacuum seems well made. I think the tools are fine - the floor tool does seem different, but works well. The wand is metal and that is a sign of quality, I think. It is not as strong as my previous vacs, that were all built in. But it is much stronger than the stick type I had tried. It will vacuum up small rocks/gravel and pulls stuff out of the corners well. It is quiet and does not emit any noticeable odors or dust. The extra filtration is a piece of foam after the engine, you get a replacement with the bags. That foam itself is putting voc's in the air, so this is not for extremely chemically sensitive people. I can see that the bags will be a problem, they are small and expensive. I have not vacuumed all of my house yet and it is half full. What if you can't get the bags? What if they don't ship them to your country anymore or the company stops making them. The bags are very well made. I think they could be emptied and then sealed back up. There is no cloth bag outside of the paper bag like many vacs have. I am thinking I will make a cloth bag eventually. This machine is a good compromise between a $2000 vac and a walmart vac.

This is 100% better than my Oreck, which I put right in the trash when I got this new vacuum. The soniclean is lightweight, easy to maneuver, compact yet powerful. The retractable cord is a huge advantage and it works perfectly. I have mainly tile floors and this is a great machine for hard floors. It does not split out sand and debris the way my old machine did.

Pros: Love the portability, the light weight, the quieter motor, the filtration system, longer hose, long power cord. What is more, it's just plain cute. It's sturdy on top of all of that. Love German products. The cost of the vacuum is very good, especially for the quality. So glad I bought it.Wishlist: Cheaper vacuum bags and an easier way to change them. They are so thick. I suspect that extra padding may be part of the filtration system or that perhaps the thickness helps make the machine quieter(?). However $5 per bag is pretty pricey!. For me it's worth it; I have severe lung issues so breathing clean air is imperative. Regarding the bags, what a weird set up. The installation directions are printed on the vacuum bags themselves and they are hard to read or understand, at least they are for me. The visuals/daigrams printed on the bags are blurry and too small. They are seless to me. I'm hoping I have installed the bags properly. They are not simple to install and mine looks all scrunched up. My other wish would be to have some way to store the long hose with an attachment on it. I keep my unit in a small pantry cloest. The base of the vacuum fits perfectly. Maybe some type of hanger that could be attached to a wall would work something from which the hose could be hung while still attached to the vacuum. A separate hook from which the black bag for the other attachments could be hung would be nice too. As mentioned earlier, the plastic attachment holder that is supposed to fit on the long metal tubelike attachment doesn't work well and only holds 3 (supposed to hold 4 I think) of the small attachments.
