Located in Western North Carolina near the furniture manufacturing town of Hickory, the company was often involved in making repairs or special parts for the furniture and woodworking field. If you're like me and realize a juice groove is far more decorative than functional, this is the perfect bit for 12x18 boards. Looks proportional to the board size and gives another dimension to the grain or patterns. Minimal burning, just make light passes until you find it to your liking. Works great in my cordless makita router.

I bought this bit for cutting a groove around an oak cutting board. Excellent clean cut. I also appreciate Whiteside bits being made in the USA.

I’ve made close to 30 juice grooves with this but so far and it’s still going strong. I have 4 premium brand router bits and Whiteside is my favorite. When the need came for this type of bit, Whiteside was the first choice. Very sharp, great value and quality as always

When routing a groove the bit leaves a small strip at the bottom of the groove that is ripped rather than cut so it is not easily sanded. Expected better of this expensive bit. My cheap bits (both smaller and larger) cut the whole groove with a smooth bottom. Unusual case in that you don't always get what you pay for.
