I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max, I'm running the latest iOS 18 something and we have spectrum home Internet. It was super easy to set up, I am using the Smart Life app. I think this was the item where I read a review saying to use app that because they give you a choice of two apps.My 97 year old mother has used it several times in an emergency and I got the alarm sound on my phone and was able to go to her house and assist her. And last night I can say it was a lifesaver because she could not figure out how to take her nitroglycerin at 1 o'clock in the morning but she remembered to press the call button. Thank God!My mother never leaves the house without me so that's not a problem because these rely on the Wi-Fi network. Thankfully spectrum almost never goes down and when they do, they text me.Setting off the alarm through the app is free. The alarm goes off even if I'm on do not disturb, I don't remember if I had to set that up myself. If you want to be contacted via SMS (I think it said call or email as well), there is a charge for the service. Considering the price of those monitored life alert buttons at $40-$60 a month, $50 a year isn't bad, the free version works fine for me but considering my mom's condition, I might do it. The app only got disconnected one time, but after I opened the app, it started working again and hasn't had a problem since.I've had it since July, and it is February now and I have not had to charge it yet. The app also shows you the battery life. And it allows you to give it a name so you know which button is setting off the alarm.I just purchased three more to place around the house because she does not like to wear it around her neck, and that's not a good thing at night anyway. I'm going to use double-sided tape to mount one on the nightstand, one on the wheelchair, one in the bathroom, and one in the kitchen.I highly recommend this product and I suspect people who gave it a bad review used the wrong app to set it up or thought they were purchasing something that worked outside of the house (or they have bad Wi-Fi).

I tried another brand first and could not get it to work (I'm an engineer). This one was so easy to set up I almost couldn't believe it was done. I bought a second one to keep in another room and it was just as easy to add to the Tuya app. They both work as they should. It makes me relieved to know that when my wife needs me I don't have to worry about whether I hear her calling to me.

First off, it's a little misleading to say no subscription required. You absolutely have to pay if you want to be notified on your phone when the button is pressed. That's why I bought it. I already have a button that rings an alarm in the house. But I wanted something to notify me when I am out of the house. I paid $10 for 100 calls. I have already used 4 just testing it. I don't expect my dad to need it often so hopefully that lasts a long time. The notification could be MUCH better. It's literally just a small popup with icon that appears in the notifications bar. I will really have to pay attention to notice this. I was hoping it'd be a full screen notification given the purpose of the device. But for the price I guess it's pretty good. I haven't tested how long the charge lasts etc. Also, our house is pretty small so he really can't get far from the router. Not sure how it works for large facilities.

This button was reasonably priced and easy to set up. The alarm is a little much. I wish you could select different tones.

It works okay. I'm able to get a notification from an elderly relative in our backyard cottage. However, it does not allow for any phone notification sounds, the alarm only works if the phone is connected to a speaker. I have to constantly be looking at my phone to check for the app notification. I don't see any place to include a notification sound on my phone. We probably won't be using this for long.

My mother’s bedroom is on the 1st floor and my bedroom is on the 2nd floor. I attached the button on her bed table and she can alert me when she needs me. I was outside doing yard work and it worked as well. The notifications on my phone are loud and alerts me right away

We purchased this emergency alert button for mom. It works through her home WiFi and app that is downloaded on our smart phones. It’s inexpensive to purchase and you don’t have to pay a subscription. It will alert me and my two brothers no matter where we are. Mom has fallen so many times without her cell phone this will be a huge help. I wish we’d discovered it sooner!
