IMO, Trev Wilkinson is not only (apparently) a very bright product designer, he also has a keen eye for good products to put his name on that will maintain the integrity of the Wilkinson brand. Bridges, pickups, umpteen parts....... It's hard to go wrong with anything with the Wilkinson name on it. Anyways, the review? Of course these are good, consistent from one to the next, smooth action tuners. And I'll tell you, for up to a mid-priced acoustic, these are fine replacements for Waverlys. Yep. For a $700 PLUS acoustic? No. They're not miracle tuners but for the price, I'll tell you that I can't see anyone beating the consistency and quality. Matching it? I doubt that too. If it matters, I've been playing since 1972.

I was able to install these tuners with little issue. The one issue I ran into was I couldn't use the supplied top bushings unless I was willing to drill out the openings, in my guitar, larger. But they did work well with the bushings from my tuners that came installed, so I didn't need to change them.They are keeping my guitar in tune, with zero creep. This was the main reason for changing the tuners on my Recording King RD 328 in the first place, as they were generic tuners that came installed and certain strings would never stay in tune.The one thing I would change on these tuners is the gears. Why didn't they use brass? In my opinion brass is better for the gear as it makes it feel much smoother while in use. But as it is right now, the way they are, the tuners are working great and holding tune. I was used to tuning this guitar, slightly, almost every day. I have cut this down extremely by installing these tuners. So bottom line is if you want, almost, "drop in" tuners that work and are affordable, get these.

These are beautiful. Finish is great. Motion is smooth. Half the screw holes even matched the original holes on this harmony made regal guitar.I did not use the bushings that came with the tuners. I opted for a different set of vintage sized bushings so I didn't have to bore out the holes.Easy to install. Look amazing. Feel so nice.I've bought some Wilkinson pickups in the past and been impressed. I'm impressed again.

I bought these to replace the tuners on my Ibanez PN-1 parlor guitar. These were fairly easy to install. Just had to drill new pilot holes for the screws. These fit perfectly into the original bushings in the headstock, so it was only a matter of getting them lined up correctly. As to the tuners, they are much more precise than the original tuners and hold pitch very well. Very pleased with these!

I bought these to replace the absolutely dreadful tuners on my Recording Kind Dirty Thirties Single O guitar. They function well, but one is slightly stiffer than the rest and that's one of the reasons I replaced the originals. Maybe it will wear in a little, maybe it won't, but they are smooth and hold tuning well and that's what I was after. The install was a breeze. I was able to re-use the bottom screw holes from the original, allowing me to retain the delightful slightly crooked look of the originals. For under 30 bucks, recommended!

Buyer beware, bought these tuners thinking they would be comparable to the grocers on my Martin. Never in my 20 years of playing have I used a product that would slice through guitar strings like butter. These are poorly machined with sharp edges. I had to do a great deal of filing to get these to work. After the money spent on replacing strings and files, I should have just bought Waverly tunes. I find that I have to constantly make fine tuning adjustments on these. Save up and buy something else.
