I use Chiaogoo knitting needles. The small needles are really sharp. When the weather gets dry, I often find myself puncturing my fingers. I tried bandaids, metal and leather thimbles, to no avail. These are awesome! They stay on, feel good and protect my fragile finger tips!

My wife works on quilts almost every day. She liked these for the variety of sizes but didn’t love the little metal insert that are in them. There isn’t anything thing wrong with the quality, it’s just a personal preference from a picky quilter.

I have small hands for a man. I had to soak the large one up in water and stretch over a dowel over night, and it still barely fits my index finger.

I have average sized fingers for a man, and found the largest of these thimbles do not allow my middle finger to go fully into them. Without allowing for full fit, the thimble part is almost useless. Forget the medium or small. Only a very thin finger would fit. This is not made clear in the blurb about the product. I'd suggest an XL size for men.
