How to Measure for Window Blinds & Shades?

INSIDE MOUNT:

Shades hanged on the interior window frame give the house a decent look. The positioning makes the window’s actual size distinct and allows you to see the molding of the frame. But you need at least 2 inch depth of frame.

Get the correct length of the window at the top, center, and downside. Take the smallest length value. Also, get the accurate window height at the left, right, and center. Write down the longest height value and remember not to make any approximations. All stock items have a half inch pre-cut to the headrail.

OUTSIDE MOUNT:

You can hang the blind precisely on the window molding when it’s mounted outside. You can also hang it above the frame to enhance a flush fit. You may still mount the blinds without adequate depth for a flush fit. The only let down would be a slight projection of the blind beam beyond the inside window frame.

Take the measurement and get the exact dimension for the blind position, then add least three inches width for privacy. These are the outside mount size you need to order. Measure firm the top of the headrail position to the bottom of the window sill or your preferred spot. Then, add lleast half-inch to enhance the control of light.

Question:How do i select the length it only shows with? when i’m ordering? i need it smaller then 72.

Answer:Hello.You can use the shade for any height less than 72inch by its rolling mechanism . It is ready made product, we have only maxium 72" height for Pre-Cut product. As long as your window height is less than 72'', you can freely adjust and use it perfectly

Question:Do these allow air flow if the window is open?

Answer:Yes. Every other panel is an open mesh allowing air flow. Best blinds I have ever purchased!

Question:What does 1/2 inch smaller means? Is the frame 1/2 inch smaller than order or the blind fabric is 1/2 inch shorter?

Answer:headrail is 1/2 smaller than size in order, INSIDE MOUNT, order to measure width, OUTSIDE MOUNT, add at least 3'' - 4'' on each side

Question:my window is 40 wide inside mount. it seems like i should be ordering 40 and 1/2 but there is no option for 40 and 1/2. what do i order?

Answer:Hello. Pls order 40" wide, you will get exact 39.5". and you can install it easily.No need to increase or decrease the size by yourself. thanks

Question:Will these fade (change color) in direct sun? Do they block UV?

Answer:As far as I know what ever blocks the direct sun itnshould also block the UV lights. I hopenthat helps.
