The size of this security bar works nice with smaller sliding windows than sliding doors and I am using it to hold up an older double hung window that won't stay up so I can latch the window lock easily. One thing that might make this bar more universal is to have a swivel ball on the footer to match the angle of the window sill better if used the way that I am using it.

You can tell this is a solid piece of steel by the weight of it. I love that you can unscrew the end to get the exact fit.I just wish the rubber end was white so it could blend in with the rest of it and be less noticeable.

I wanted to put these on some of my windows unfortunately none of these fit correctly. Because they expand by one inch at a time they were slightly too big or too small on all of my windows. Nothing fit just right. Keep this in mind as they aren’t really adjustable to the right levels as I would have hoped.
