I am a school librarian, so I needed a robust scanner to use for book and device checkouts. This scanner works wonderfully and the battery lasts a loooong time. It comes with a stand, charger, and booklet of barcodes to scan to customize its use. The only thing I might change is I would add a small troubleshooting section to the manual. I have figured out that the series of beeps mean, but was initially puzzled. FYI- there are different beeps for low battery and a missing USB dongle.

First time using a low-cost reader in a commercial setting. Always have purchased readers costing 3 to 5 times the cost of this one, and requiring special software. Then comes this one, a litter lighter that the commercial grades I have used, but looks to be well made. Easy to install, requiring no special software and easy to identify in the POS software. Great savings for my customer. Recommend this item for barcode, QR code, etc.

You can keep buying expensive brands or give it a try. Very easy to install, Great battery life and works just great. What else you can ask for , Cheaper than the rest and great quality. 5 Stars

Not pleased with this scanner. I tried to get a scanner that would move around the shop with me, wirelessly, as this one states it will. But even plugged in to the laptop it only reads barcodes occasionally. I have to unplug it and plug it back it in after 3-4 scans, wait for the beeps and start over. It is just not reliable. I am still loading all my inventory into my new software program and not even up and running on a daily basis with this equipment yet so I very disappointed. I did call my software support team and they tried to help, but no good. It's just not reliable.

I ordered this with a bunch of other tools. It came with a booklet full of bar codes that change the functionality of the scanner, but I couldn't find anything about a driver or software and started looking for videos about this particular model but found nothing. I crawled back out of that rabbit hole and came back to Amazon to read the reviews and discovered that it's simply plug & play! Don't misplace the little book with the bar codes!

If you are using an actual Square POS Retail System (not an Ipad or Iphone, etc - not sure if it works with these either) do not buy. This will not work out of the box. Just clunky. You scan an item, then nothing happens. If you click 1st into the item block it will pull up the item, but you cannot scan the item twice for 2, or scan 3 times for 3. You have to go through the steps. This could be a square problem. They do updates all the time, which cause their own problems.As for Amazon, if wish they would quit recommending products that do not work. I Googled this scanner after be disappointed, guess what it said... "the NETUM scanner product description says the barcode scanner does not work with square"

Good scanner. Easy to install and set up. Had a little trouble with configuring continuous scanning so the scanner can be used on the stand and the manual had no mention of that feature; had to e-mail support team and was sent a barcode to configure that function.
