I wish I had thought to buy one of these a long time ago. It's a known fact that cats prefer moving water, because they instinctively know that it's cleaner than standing water. Anyone who's ever seen a cat get up on a counter where water is running out of a tap knows that cats are drawn to it. Our two cats are fascinated by this fountain, having always had water dishes to drink out of. They just love drinking out of it! The motion-sensing feature is great for catching their attention and beckoning to them to come and have a drink. Truth be told, I think they think it's kind of fun. I also like the stainless steel bowl. It keeps water fresh longer and resists bacterial buildup. It's also corrosion-resistant, and easy to clean. One factor I didn't expect, but really like, is that when it senses motion it lights up an attractive multi-colored image on the side, which is both pretty at night, and handy, because it helps all to see it, so you don't bump into it.Cleaning the filters is super easy, and if you do it regularly the water will never get funky and slimy, like water just sitting in a bowl or cup does. Besides all of these advantages, it's just plain classy-looking, and shows that your pets get the 'best'. You can spend more on some other brand, but Why would you? This product functions very well, and is easily affordable. Oh, and the sound? What sound? I don't even hear it. I heartily recommend it!

My old water fountain broke, so I was in the market for a new one. Luckiky, I found this one. I got it set up, and my bengal went right for it without hesitation. Like all bengals, she loves running water, and with the motion sensor on this fountain, it works out perfectly. There's also a blue blue inside which helps to tell when to refill the water. It comes fully charged with a charging usb C cable, filter, and some cleaning accessories. The stainless steel top surface is also a great look !!Time will tell how it holds up and battery longevity. So far, I'm pleased with the purchase!
