There's really not much to say - it works as described in the write-up, it's accurate, and easy to use. I've used it on steak, burgers, lamb chops, chicken, and salmon.That said, I'd like some improvements. The 16-page foldout manual's print is small for my old eyes; I'd like a pointer to a PDF (I scanned it to make a PDF... but it isn't formatted well for OCR). An included card says the booster should be within 2 feet of the grill, oven, etc.; the write-up says 200 feet and while I didn't test that far it worked fine within 20+ feet or so.But those are peripheral issues. For the purpose of it, it works, and that's what counts. I will probably gift it in future.

I bought this for my wife's birthday since she had read about them, but thinking it would be more of a "gadget" than a useful addition to the kitchen. But the next day, she got a big roast and was saying it was wonderful to sit in her office area doing some work WITHOUT having to get up every now and then and open up the ovendoor and pull it out to see how it was coming along. The alarm went off, she pulled the roast out, the temperature was dead on, and it was cooked to perfection. Since then she has done two more roasts - a really useful gift with a great price.

Thermometer is working great. I use it for cooking steak in the oven and chicken in the air fryer. I have not had any issues with connections and it helps ensure the I don’t over cook my steak or under cook my chicken. I definitely recommend this if you are thinking of getting one. I can’t wait to use it this summer for grilling!

Now that I've had it for about 6 months I thought it was time for a review. So far, the case and the probe battery seem to be as advertised, but I would recommend charging the probe before using like the recommend in the instructions. I used it for a boston butt last night and didn't have any issues. Note that the range decreases when going through walls and such, but with that said it still reaches from my smoker to my kitchen/bedroom. I also really like being able to set the desired temperature and the case will alarm when its reached. It makes it easier to put things on the smoker overnight without having to worry about over cooking before the next morning. Overall, I've been very impressed for the price that you pay!
