This product is simply a small digital camera that adapts to the eyepieces of common optical tools such as microscopes, spotting scopes, and telescopes. Via its app and a wifi hotspot connection, it streams the eyepiece view to your phone or tablet where you can record to either video or still formats (stored on camera; you must download while connected to copy vids/photos to your phone). The image quality can be nearly equal to what you see through the standard eyepiece, assuming you focus carefully at your scope. I attached this camera to a 1000mm telescope with a 20mm eyepiece to make sample images in this review of the Moon and of a grasshopper across the street. Heavy usage can deplete the charge sooner than expected, but you can plug in a small power pack and keep going. Used with care and appropriate expectations, this little camera can add ease and fun to your observing sessions. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I bought this to try to use in my telescope, but with there being no options within the app to control shutter speed, the camera cannot pick up anything within the telescope unless its the moon. I tried to photograph the recent comet, Saturn, and a random star, but the camera just cannot pick it up.The videos/pictures I did take with it not on the telescope seems dark to begin with, and I do not think the resolution is what it claims it to be. The image and video quality is not great.

The camera works. That’s about the best thing I can say about it. I may claim to have 2304*1728 resultion put the picture quality is terrible. My guess is the sensor is low res and there is some pixel multiplying involved. The build quality is iffy and it’s plastic and the clamping mechanism is not steady. It makes it very hard to focus. There only advantage over using a phone mount is you can view this away from the optic, but a phone will give you better image quality. This appears to be an unbranded product and while not all of them are low quality, this one is.

This eyepiece camera is easy to set up with your telescope or microscope, fitting snugly on devices with eyepiece diameters of 24mm-50mm. The built-in Wi-Fi allows you to control and view images directly from your smartphone, which adds a lot of convenience for capturing photos or recording videos. With a 4MP sensor, the image quality is impressive, supporting up to 16MP for stills and 2.5K for video. The 1500mAh battery gives you about four hours of recording time, and it’s nice that it comes with a 32GB card for storage. Charging via USB-C is straightforward, and the app is easy to navigate, making it a great addition for anyone into astrophotography or microscopy. There are so many uses for this if you got creative with it.

This works and is very easy to attach and hook up to phone.Cons....The wifi can only go about 20 feet from the unit before it starts to lose contact. There is no focus on this unit. It can only focus as well as your scope can be focused. You can only control the white balance. Plenty of other units in this price range to try. There is a timeout feature I havent figured out yet. Screen goes dark then you lose contact with the device. I would not buy this again.

Sturdy construction, requires patience to set up. Functions better with faster telescopes. Eyepiece sans rubber eyeshade fits camera body better.
