This is a remote that works with a relay that reverses the voltage to the winch motor. If your winch has a built in relay, you would have to determine the correct solenoids to connect from the remote module. If your winch does not have a relay built in you would need to purchase a relay.

Both the remote and key fob remote work great. Good range. Easy to adapt to the 3-wire wired remote supplied with the Rough Country winch this is on my '23 Bronco. Connected positive, in, and out wires to the appropriate wires on the 3-wire setup supplied with the winch, keeping the plug for the wired remote intact just in case. Connected the 4th wire to chassis ground. Mounted the module at the top of the rad support

Only came with 1 battery in the large remote. It requires 2 to work. After putting batteries in it,it only was able to winch out it will not winch in.

Easy to install and works great. Nice feature for my RMax to be able to control the winch from outside the cab. Hopefully the remotes will hold up over time.

This needs flat blade terminals. It has round eyelids to go on. Flat terminals and often becomes loose with a radic behavior requires Terminals modification to work on.Defender x d9 Winch

Not for the non mechanical types the wire ends all need to be changed but maybe thsts my winch. Seems to have a short distance from truck before it looses connection
