I have the Rough Country winch this drives.I bought an extra remote in case my other one breaks. These work okay…there’s not much other options. But at about $20, what more can you expect? The connection is semi-proprietary to Rough Country. All the other winch companies have their own pin pattern, even though they essentially all work the same. This is annoying! I bought an extra one in case they discontinue it or something.The connections are heavy duty/overbuilt. The wires inside are very small, so the bulk of this is just to protect the inner wires and make a secure connection…which I appreciate.Simple. Effective. Affordable.

Used this to replace the controller on a different brand of winch, and it didn't work right out of the box, but there are just three terminals in these things. Took the screws out, opened up the handle, and switched the wire connections around on the switch and voila! Works great.
