I first purchased a FRAM from an auto parts store to replace the air filter in my girlfriend's 2006 Acura TL and found it too small for the filter box. After reading some good things about the Wix filter, I ordered it from Amazon for less than the POS FRAM cost!The filter is a perfect fit and it seems to work really well. The unit installed by a mechanic at the last B12 service seemed restricting and the motor would occasionally knock at the upper RPM range when under full throttle. The motor seems much more relaxed with this filter, and the high RPM knocks have gone away. Thanks to some random freak weather in Southern California, I've tested it under full throttle in sub-freezing temperatures as well as at 100 degrees. This seems like a very good product, which is in line with my previous experiences with the Wix brand.Here's a bonus hint that addresses some of the complaints about replacing the filter: get out at Philips screwdriver and remove the piece of plastic along the ridge of the inner fender. There are two retainers. Unscrew them, carefully pull the plastic piece away from the fender and set it aside. THEN undo the filter box screws and lift the top to expose and change the filter. It's still a tight fit, but it's easy to navigate what was previously impossible.

I've used WIX filters before on other cars so I wasn't surprised at how well the filter was made. It was a perfect match for the OEM filter that was still in this car. As others have said, use a socket (8mm) to loosen the four screws holding down the air filter cover; they will not come out of the cover so you can't lose them. I removed a plastic trim piece (held in place by 2 screws) on the fender that prevented the removal/installation of the air filter. Once the trim was removed the filter cover can be lifted and pushed back to allow air filter removal/installation. I replaced the cabin air filter at the same time with a WIX filter which also fit perfectly.

Its a good price for an air filter that works well. U will make ur money back from the gas u will be saving in a month.I just ordered it to replace my old air filter because it is supposedly better than the K&N filter. But this is what I will say. I changed my air filter and drove 400 miles to LA the next day and I averaged 32 mpg. I didnt even have to fill up my gas tank once.A good note to the newbie that is changing his air filter for the first time. DO NOT USE A SCREW DRIVER OR U WILL STRIP THE original SCREW in the Acura TL. Instead please use a socket wrench that will fit nicely over the hexagonal top. Ur welcome.
