This call make better sounds than any I've had before. I'm not GREAT at using it, but the soft yelps and clucks you can get from it without much practice at all is just fantastic. I love that it comes with the conditioning kit (even though I lost it on the first time out). It's a little pricey, but in this case you get what you pay for!

I thought I was just getting the call but it came with 2 strikers(at least $10 each), a cover ($6), and a conditioning kit ($6). A nice surprise. The call is easy to use and sounds better with experience. Purchased because I broke my crystal call and was waiting to have it fixed. Customer service has been awesome so far. Worth the money.

The Woodhaven Legend Slate comes with a surface conditioning kit, surface saver lid, and 2 hand matched strikers, for those of you pondering the purchase of this excellent call. Why this Amazon product description leaves all of that out is beyond me. Most people aren't going to pay right at $100.00 for a slate call, but this one is EXCELLENT!

i am new to turkey hunting but was amazed at how quickly i could mimic what i saw/heard on learning videos with this call. it is easy to use and comes with two strikers, plus a conditioning kit. i would prefer if woodhaven would post their method for conditioning the slate, but there are a few videos online that can provide you general instructions.Georgia turkey season opens this weekend, so hoping this call comes through for me!
