I had another brand of choke that was either cracked when I got it or cracked when I shot TSS through it. I assume it was cracked since it was rated for TSS. I got this choke on sale, and I was concerned it might be a little too tight and blow my pattern out. That is not a concern. The choke is perfect in my Remington 870, 20 gauge. The pattern is quite tight at 20 yards, so you better be on target. At 40 yards, I was able to get 230 pellets in a 10 inch circle with an Apex 2 3/4 inch #9. With a Herter's 3 inch #9, I got 240 in a 10 inch circle. I don't think you can go wrong with either of those in this choke; point of impact was the same with the two different shells, but I am shooting the Apex 2 3/4 next spring.

I tried several choke tubes and this one outperformed them all! I am using long beard xr and TSS out of it and they both pattern exceptionally well!
