This is the second one of these products that I have purchased. The first one lasted 16 years, and would have lasted much longer, if not indefinitely, but for the way I used it. I have a floating dock and have a power cable GFI breaker protected, that runs from my house down to my dock. I use one of these cable grips to take the weight and stress off of my terminal wiring connection. The lake level fluctuates drastically and this eventually wore out the grip...But these units are sturdy and effective...bottom line...they work.
