New to felting, so I am not sure that I would be able to speak to the quality of this felting pad. It is firm, soft and sturdy at the same time. Worked well for me. Liked the larger size, I don't think the smaller one would be useful for me.

This is a lovely firm pad, big enough for any substantial project. I found this was a little firm to start a project, but it is excellent for supporting the finishing touch work at the end.

This is a nice little pad to do your felting on. It's soft, a nice heather gray, easy to use. The leather finger things are big enough for my fat fingers to just fit. I'm happy with my purchase. It's a good size, too.

It's a nice sturdy felting pad. But I had to modify the leather finger guard because of how big my fingers are.

This made a huge difference in allowing my daughter to complete her first needle felting project. She had been using a dense foam block that was too squishy and small. This product is very dense and durable. Use it handheld or set it on a desk to use flat. A game changer for any felting artist. Highly recommend.
