Bright LED
This innovation makes hard drive indicator lights brighter. The server backplane has activity LED, and LED signal lights are transferred to a special plastic rail to the front of drive caddy. Indicator lights show important statuses from the hard drive. The hard drive's green activity indicator and the green and amber status indicator are now cleaner and brighter.
Practical Front Labels
Mark and clue sticker label to dedicated place on the front of drive caddy. Two different Sticker Label surface types included. Use Permanent Marker or Ballpoint Pen to mark your empty Sticker Labels. Make it more visual - mark and see your RAID Volume or individual disks - without removing Hard Drives. Heavy Duty Screws
It might sound ridiculous, but one of the most common problems we see is missing mounting screws or screws that are simply the wrong size. And, obviously, without the proper screws, you can’t install your hard drive. We also add some extra screws in case the small screws disappear.
What’s the purpose of a hard drive carrier?
Hard drive carriers are multipurpose. The hard drive carrier/frame/removable hard drive enclosure is just a modified drive bay that allows a standard hard drive in a carrier assembly to be removed and inserted with little effort. The carriers have a release handle that can be used to push the drive out of the server.
What’s the server backplane?
Hard drive connectors have to hit backplane connectors precisely, or the entire installation won’t work. That’s another function of the hard drive carrier – it physically holds the hard drive in the correct position so the connectors meet.
How to check server drive bay size?
You can’t choose the correct hard drive or the correct drive carrier until you actually know what size drive bay your server has. You should know that before you start ordering hard drives. How can you check this? Simple: press the release button, open the release handle, and slide the hard drive with its drive carrier out of the server. Just measure it. Do you have 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives?

Ordered these 2.5" drives for Dell R620 and R30 and they fit snug. The quality is fantastic. These are made of metal and not plastic, so quite sturdy. Each tray is individually packaged with screws and labels. A small Phillips was included to attach drives.

I purchased a refurbished Dell R630 Server, but it came with mostly drive plugs/covers. I bought a 4-pack of these and they worked perfectly. I ended up buying another 4-pack. Very happy, nice product.

These are sturdier than my OEM caddies and they work perfectly, I'd recommend them to anyone who needs a Dell PowerEdge 2.5" caddy!

Wow. I never would write a review for HD caddies but here I am. Everything was outstanding. - The packaging - The fit and finish of the caddies, - Including extra a extra screw - Two different types of labels (silver and white) with two labels each and notched that fit precisely. - The instructions. Not that I needed them but someone spent some time making them look niceThe onlyyyyyyy minor complaint is the screw driver doesn't have enough grip to remove OEM screws but I still have my RadioShack drivers from 1986.Oh and they are as good or better than the OEM DELL ones. I put these in a PowerEdge R630

WORKDONE caddies are high quality and include all the necessary components for installation (screws, screwdriver, and manual). The screws could be a better. The measure roughly 1/8th inch and a hair in length, with the threaded portion being 1/16. I've received other caddies with screws measuring 3/16 in total length and they've felt much more snug than the WORKDONE screws.The kit comes in a box. Each caddy is packaged with its own screw baggie and stickers.I would buy it again.

These are hands down the best aftermarket drive trays ! I bought a set of 4 on ebay from a diffrent seller and they arrived today along with these. The ones from e bay are trash! All plastic very flimsy while these are solid metal rails and aluminum flip down door. I would 100% recommend these to anyone that has a poweredge that needs new or just adding new hard-drives. I'd be willing to say these are made better than the originals from dell.

It's pretty straight forward to verify if it's working or not. I only needed a caddy to simply hold the drive in place, as it's located in the rear of the system and didn't come with their own caddies. It works as needed. Low cost. Free shipping. Thank you.

This is a good quality replacement for the original Dell caddies. Perfect fit and no sharp edges. Feel better than the originals.

The screws included are way too small for my SSDs. And you can't use normal computer screws as a work around unless you grind the head to a smaller size. I had to order a seperate pack of m3 screws to be able to use it.
