This was well worth the money. I'm not doing fine electrical soldering in boards or anything, just automotive use, but this thing works perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with it. It's better than my corded iron and is easily usable with no need for an extension cord. Heats up quickly ... just works ...

Be sure to screw the tip in tight. I had to use pliers. If you do not, it will light up like it’s working but not get hot and shut down. It works well on small electronics especially for the price.

After testing several portable soldering irons this ends up being my favorite. It is a simple operation of pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds and it will stay on for 10 minutes at a time. I found that you can easily get 4 sets of 10 minute interval run times, totally to about 40 minutes of soldering per charge. It can be charged via USB C which takes about 2 hours to fully charge. What I enjoy most about this iron is that it heats up VERY fast due to the heater element being so close to the tip, it will melt solder in less than 10 seconds. However, one problem that I may see down the line is that these tips will be hard to find replacements for due to their unique design. I find this to be the best soldering iron I have found right now, and I have even gotten others to buy it too.Included in this product is the iron, 2 small spools of solder, 4 hot end tips, a pair of tweezers, a dock, a carrying bag, and sponges. It is a very good value for the quality of the product and how much is also included.

I use this for soldering the electronics on my RC cars. It heats up really fast and the small solder works fine for the wires I’m soldering.

[Original Review]: Every now and then you pick up a tool for a specialty need, and wind up using it a lot,. That describes this soldering iron. Even though I have a rework station, I find that I use this iron most of time. Its quick and readily available. I'd say I did about 6 quick jobs before I needed to recharge it. That's a lot considering the size/portability of this iron. The solder provided is too thick for my kind of work, but maybe I'll use it someday.[Updated Review]: I changed the tip, and I thought the iron had died on me...it charged up perfectly, yet there was no heat... a flashing red LED... and the unit shut itself off after about 10 seconds. All it turned out to be, is that I didn't have the tip fully tightened. There must be some logic in it, that detects an improperly seated tip. I removed and reinstalled the tip, hand-tightening it solidly...and it now works perfectly! So be aware of this, if suddenly it seems to stop heating...especially if you just changed the tip.

Nice package and nice looking tool. However, heat is not enough for continuous soldering.

Does exactly what a light/medium solder iron should do. Compare to a 20/30w plug in

I had corded soldering irons for years and they work great but you're limited to finding an outlet or extension cord. Not a problem but this iron is so convenient to use. It charges with your usual USB charger which we all have. And you can use it virtually anywhere. Gets nice and hot, comes with all you need to get started. I had to wire new tail lights on my trailer which was stored in a yard. No outlet or power nearby. This was perfect to getting the job done.
