Perfect little starter set. Came a little greasy but that's ok they are lubricated and I know they will work. I love a company that makes pink tools and supports breast cancer.

I have a mixed review on these. They came lightly oiled, so I had to wipe them off when they arrived with a napkin, but I don't really mind that. To be honest, I'd rather have them than have them arrive with surface rust or not operating smoothly. It's a reasonable price for a set of three pliers. The needle nose pliers opens smoothly and easily, and the slip joint pliers and groove joint pliers adjust very easily and smoothly. The jaws on all of them meet perfectly and are parallel, and the ends are aligned when looked at head on. I was surprised that they were this good to be honest, I didn't expect that. The other side of the joint on the slip joint and groove joint pliers seems a little crude. (The side opposite the rounded portion of the joint). It seems a little crude and not well finished. It works just fine, and there's nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't look like it's a quality (as in finished) joint. Take that for what it's worth, I'm just pointing it out as a critique of them and may be a little overly critical. So it comes down to me for what you're looking for. If you need a general purpose set of pliers for occasional use and aren't demanding with your tools, and you find the price to be right for you, get them. I think overall, they're pretty good, I've seen much worse. These are good for keeping a cheaper set in the vehicle, junk drawer, to loan out, as a starter tool set, etc. But if you're a serious DIY'er, a mechanic, are demanding with the performance of your tools, or are like me and tend to like to buy the best quality tool you can buy within reason so they'll likely last forever, you'll probably be a little disappointed. But then again, this is an inexpensive set, so I that's how I rated them. Against tools of similar grade and price range, and not against top of the line imports many times the cost to be fair.

I have a set of general purpose pliers get abused a lot. No matter how much I spend, they eventually fail so the best solution is to get less expensive ones that just work. Needle nose, slip joint, groove pliers... what I use for most of my repairs. The worst trait of cheaper pliers are jaws that don't close and or jaws that are not aligned to each other. I'm happy to report the WorkPro's exhibit neither. Another characteristic is rust. I've found that cheaper tools tend to oxidize even if they're just sitting in your tool box. The description reads, "... pliers are covered in slushing oil to prevent getting rusty, please wipe them off before using." I wiped everything off prior to using but I'm now wondering if the lack of oil will promote rusting. There's still a hint of oil on the handles that doesn't wipe off so I'm hoping it doesn't affect grip quality in the future. So far, I've used the needle nose pliers for a little electric box work and the slip pliers for pool work. Like new blade, all of the grippy edges inside the jaws are sharp and without the detritus of wrong-tool syndrome. The WorkPros perform exactly as expected and I'm hoping they will keep working as such.

As in the headline, this is an overall nice set of pliers from WORKPRO.You one of each a 6” Needle Plier, 6” Slip Joint Plier (standard pliers), 8” Groove joint Plier (channel lock style). One thing to note, when unpacking, these have a lightweight oil covering them. Nice to keep out rust and such, but not nice if you get it on stuff. Be prepared to wipe off excess oil. There is excess. Each of the pliers seems well constructed. I didn't have any overly sloppy joints or gritty operation. They all worked as expected. They each have a nice grip area/teeth so they grab onto things as expected. The handles all have a blue rubber grip. Often these grip start to wear, lose shape, and slip off. So far, with limited use, the grips on these are holding up well. I wasn't able to slide any of them off, even with all that excess oil they shipped in.All in all, this is a good set to have around the house for various projects. Sturdy enough for DIY garage work as well. If you do stuff like that, you need pliers sooner or later. No problem recommending these for the price.

This review is for the WORKPRO Pliers Set, 3-Piece Pliers Tool Set with Soft Handle, 6 Inch Needle Nose Plier, 6 Inch Slip Joint Plier, 8 Inch Groove Joint Plier for DIY & Home Use. This is the 3rd set of tools I have ordered from the WORKPRO Store and this set is on par with the rest, which is to say:- They are well designed, Sturdy, and comfortable to work with.- Arrives with some oil still on the tools, they do operate smoothly.- This particular set has exactly the 3 pliers I use the most.- Great deal, definitely recommend for home use.

This 3 piece set of pliers is really just okay. I have several other tools from this brand that have left me with a good impression. Those other tools are a good bang for the buck. This set, however, has not lived up to that standard in my opinion. The grips are cheap slip on units (found on most overseas made cheap tools) and the tools came packaged in thin plastic and reeked of manufacturing oil (another indication of a cheaply made product). For $20, this set is the same quality as one that costs half of that... so the price is definitely too high. The tools themselves, once cleaned up, work fine. They will get the job done in and around the house, but don't expect them to last forever. There is also no indication of the grade of metal used to manufacture these (no stamping, laser etching, or otherwise). Overall, disappointed and was hoping for better. 3/5
