We live on a heavily wooded property and have to deal with tough brambles, young saplings and shrubs that string trimmers can't cut. Needed something stronger. As we have several worx garden and shop tools we chose the worx brush cutter. We have had very good service from all of our worx products. The day it got here I assembled it ( a bit tricky because worx instructions for all their products suck ) and took it out to try it. I wasn't prepared for how well it works. It exceeded my expectations. It ran smooth and fairly quiet and cut through the toughest weeds with ease. It took out sapling over an inch thick without stuttering and close enough to the ground not to leave little stubs sticking up. We have places where ground ivy threatens to take over. The works cutter chews it up right down to the ground. I'm very pleased with this tool and highly recommend it. It is a real labor saver. The real work is cleaning up the cuttings! My only complaint, besides the terrible instructions, is that I was forced to buy the wg186 trimmer and the wao221 brush cutter attachment. Worx dose not sell just the power head alone, only with the string trimmer attachment. We already own three string trimmers, two of which are worx trimmers and did not want nor need another one. But the cutter works so well I have to give it 5 stars.Several reviews stated they experienced vibrations, etc. I noticed that they also stated they threw away one of the parts. I used all the parts. I don't know what the part they mentioned they felt was not needed is for, but I suspect it is some sort of blade stabilizer. I used it and the cutter works very smoothly. All in all....a great yard tool.

Ordered a new Blackmax 4 cycle gas weed eater and I saw the worx bush cutter and ordered the worx attachment and it fits and works very well. Am very please with the attachment I seen where it was for battery but got it to go on my gas type since gas is all that I use.

Really cleaned up a woods behind our house full of brush. Can't believe I used to do this manually with a scythe. Installation is pretty simple despite very bad directions. If you aren't handy, you might want to skip this item and find one with better instructions.

I paired this with a Ryobi 40V Brushless Carbon Fiber trimmer powerhead, and it is a beast. I have about an acre of property that has natural springs, and I have gotten a mower and tractor stuck in trying to mow it. A brush cutter is the only option. This head cuts through grass, weeds, and small saplings with hardly any issues. It won't cut through a 2+ inch tree in one swipe like it will smaller saplings, but you can saw at it to get through something 3-4 inches. I tried to see if it would work, and it did. I have a cordless chainsaw for trees, but this brush cutter head is perfect for everything else. Pairing it with a powerhead that has handlebars would be easier, but it will work with a standard straight shaft powerhead. I won't use it without safety glasses, long pants, and steel toes because it is so tough. It can send chunks of trees flying (will leave welts) and would not stop if you ran it into a tennis shoe. It isn't overly light, but I will take a solid build over light weight.

1. Assembly “instructions†are the worst I’ve ever encountered (& I have assembled quite a number of purchases.) An item that is inherently dangerous should have clear assembly instructions.2. Attaching the attachment to the “base†- motorized shaft- took an unreasonable amount of time & effort. This should have been simple.3. Installed the batteries after taking it outside. I had watched several YouTube videos to assemble it, and was ready to get to work with it. I started the unit. It sounded like it started, there was a sound like the blade attempted to spin, then nothing. Multiple attempts had the same result.4. I decided to disassemble the cutter blade & troubleshoot. The bolt attaching the cutter would not budge. I resorted to hitting the (included) socket wrench with a mallet with no success.Because assembly was spread out over time (multiple attempts, then 3rd party videos, & additional attempts) I missed the window for returning the item. I would have, otherwise, requested a refund. This was sold/purchased as a bundle - the brush cutter plus the string trimmer. I haven’t tried using the string trimmer.I would not recommend this item to anybody. It is, essentially, trash. This does not deserve 1 star but Amazon wouldn’t allow submission without a “star rating.â€

Its that time of year and there's brush and weeds to cut. With what the removal guys want to cut down my weeds another battery and this attachment was a cheap investment! Fits my Ryobi string trimmer perfectly. I was a little concerned as to whether or not the trimmer had the power to make this cutter work.Keep the dogs and the kids inside! Mows through heavy, stringy ground cover like butter. Green brush up to 1" thick absolutely no problem. Head is shaped in such a way that the cut weeds and brush do not wrap around the shaft. The blade is sharpened on both sides so it can be flipped over and keep on going without having to resharpen. The blade is easily resharpened with a few strokes of a file. Probably less frequent sharpening required if you don't hit the rocks. Comes with an adapter so you can fit different aftermarket blades. No part numbers to order spares from the Mfg. Also comes with a nicely padded carrying strap that attaches though the support handle of the trimmer. (Took off after a few minutes asit was more trouble than it was worth, IMO)All in all a great purchase! Couldn't wait to right the review..

This is a robust well made item but, you need to assemble it yourself. And here is the problem.First, the component items listed in the instructions are not necessarily the items you received with your order!!Second, the instructions are utter rubbish!!Thirdly, Customer Service support is non existent!
