I've always wanted one of these as a kid (and I still did) so it was nice to be able to finally order one. My young son was very excited to try this out as well.The device seems to be durable for the most part, though I wouldn't expect it to survive a drop from more than a few feet. It could probably get thrown in a bag with other gear and get tossed around without any issues.The key thing to note about this type of device compared with optical binoculars is that here you are staring at a screen that is inside the device roughly 6 inches away from your eyes. If you need reading glasses like I do your eyes won't be able to focus on the screen. This is not an issue with optical binoculars since the focal distance is optically controlled to match your eye's focal point. With this one, changing the focus will not affect the focal distance between your eyes and the screen. With that said it is possible to pull the binoculars farther away from your eyes so that the screen can be seen clearly, though the image appears smaller.The night vision works great and has different levels of intensity. Really it is an active type of system that illuminates the scene with an infrared light and the sensor inside the unit is sensitive to that light. The (infra)red light can be seen by the naked eye so there is at least some portion of the light spectrum in the visible range. This may be an issue if the device is used for hunting or other uses where you don't want to be seen. Related is the fact that the silicone doesn't make full contact around my face so my face glows from the backlight of the screen. That is made worse by me having to pull the binoculars further away from my face to be able to focus on the screen. That could easily be remedied by using a black towel or something like they did in the old days for photography.The device comes with a micro SD card that can record video or photos at the press of a button.Overall this is basically a toy but it could be used for more serious purposes like hunting or walking around in a dark area at night with the above stated limitations. Either way this is fun to use.

These are good night vision binoculars. The only things wrong with these are the case and the instructions.I opened the case and the first thing I saw was the memory card sitting on top. I let go of the top of the case to grab the memory card, the lid flopped open and the way the pocket is designed, some things fell out. I will have to remember this since I will be using them in the dark. It would be nice if the pocket was 180 degrees the other way, if anything fell out of the pocket it would just fall out into the case.I took the night vision binoculars out of the case. The case is too small for the sun shade. The rubber is all deformed and out of shape. I figured out that the sun shade can be pulled off and put back on. I think I can reshape it with some heat and creativity. The screen, IR emitter and objective lens all have a plastic protective peel off film. The mechanical zoom, focus and IR light focus move easily, but not so easily that bumping it a bit will throw it off. The metal rings for the lanyard seem solid. The clips on the lanyard are great. I put it on a charger. A noticeable red glow came on near where the usb cord plugs in.The instructions are ok, they do not go through everything in the menus, but the menu is pretty self explanatory. One thing the instructions did not tell me is how to switch between full color and night vision mode. They told me how to turn on the IR emitter, but not how to switch to night vision on the screen. It turns out when you turn on the IR emitter it switches to night vision mode on the screen.After it got dark out I got these out for a test. Everything works well. The screen settings can go from very dim to very bright. The mechanical zoom and focus work good. While using this zoom I had to change the focus with every adjustment. The digital zoom works good, it did not seem grainy - and I did not have to change the focus. The focus on the IR emitter beam works really well and you can see far away. It takes good pictures and video. I can't find anything wrong with the function of this. The font could be bigger in the settings.

I love the outdoors as well as wilderness night adventures and they have been a great addition to my outdoor gear. These binoculars are compact and not very heavy, very easy to carry. I'm impressed with the battery life, it lasts over quite a few hours on a single charge, and I don't have to worry about dead batteries on my nighttime adventures. They provide me with crisp images so I can capture every moment clearly. Their 4K video recording feature is superb, รย I can record those animal highlights and still easily store, replay and share them with others. In addition, it's easy to use, so it's great for first-time users, I am satisfied with it.

OK. So, I got a great deal on this one. Even so, it is tremendous. I haven't explored each and every function but this device has functionality out the wazoo.It arrived well-packed and in 11 days which was within the estimated delivery interval.The internal battery was partially charged upon arrival so I was about to give it a spin right away. (A full charge required 1330 mAh which means it have a decent-sized battery.) Charging is done using the included USB-A to USB-C cable. There is also a strap, a 32GB micro-SD card, a USB SD card adapter, the manual along a hard carrying case.Without consulting the manual I was able to view near and distant images, turn the IR illuminator ON/OFF, etc. The IR beam size adjustment is on the right near the objective lens and the focus and zoom adjustments are on the left side. Sure, it will take some getting used to but it seems to stand head and shoulders above another, older (and more expensive) monocular imaging device I have.

Works great after a little practice. Will not work in a blind with camo or any screen.
