I went 2 years without getting into my hatch. This took 5 minutes to plug in and it works great

I ignored the official instructions because I had seen another review explaining how it was far more simple than that. They were right! It's a bit difficult to get the old one out, but I was able to strong arm it out with some needle nose pliers and brute strength. It shattered. All I had to do was snap the wire into place and push the new one back into the hole. It works like a charm!

The fit and function are perfect. The only negative is the 2 metal clips that hold it in place broke when trying to install the switch. Fortunately, I was able to reuse the clips from the factory switch.

hatch had not opened from outside due to buttons not functioning, put the new switch in we have had no issues with it.

I like the product because of its price, and how easy it was to install. It is also a perfect fit

Just install new hatch release. Super easy to install but one of the metal tabs that hold it in broke immediately. So I had to reuse old crusty one. So far works fine.

Seems like it would be a good fit ... If the clips would stay on. Ended up buying an OEM piece. In the pic, you can see the difference in clips. Top (OEM) has metal coverage on both front and back. Bottom (purchased) has clips that pop off because there's no support for the pressure of installation. Tried glue, might have have success with a plastic weld technique, or perhaps getting an extra metal clip for support. I went the OEM route.I have to say that the company was extremely prompt in getting a refund returned for this piece. Hence the 2 stars.

Ordered this for my wife's 2012 Kia Forte 5 as hers had completely degraded. Old one popped out and this one popped in and worked fine. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars as one of the retaining clips came off the new one, had to reuse one off the old one. Otherwise everything was good.

Ignore the over-complicated instructions that are posted with the item description. I used a popsicle stick to remove the old latch by inserting it between the latch and the car frame and pushing in the retention clips on both sides of the latch to pop the latch out (observe where to push out the old latch by studying the configuration of the new latch). Then, disconnect the wiring from the car to the old latch and reconnect the wiring to the new latch. Push the latch assembly back into the car frame until the retention clips click into place and you’re done. Dead easy.
