I have a background in chemistry, and I am impressed with what I received for what I paid. The stopcock appears manufactured with tight tolerance: no detectable leakage, at least with an initial test using isoproyl alcohol. Comes in a double-layered cardboard box with form-fitting styrofoam (do not throw this away—you will want it for storage & transport). My one complaint is that the stopcock's tolerance is so tight that I was anxious about breaking the piece while initially trying to loosen it up. However, once you've gotten it to turn for the first time, the action is smooth & doesn't demand too much force. I will likely come back to this exact listing in the future for larger-volume sep funnels as projects demand them.

When I first bought this the stopcock was very hard to move even after loosening the screw on the other side. I was worried to use force as I did not want to break it. Do not be alarmed after loosening the security screw on the other side of the o-ring, just carefully but with force keep trying to turn the stopcock and itll eventually budge. I poured IPA into it and saw it did not leak so on first glance it works great!

They're fragile, but that is expected with most lower end lab equipment. My roommate broke this one, but I never did by using it properly. Great for the price.
