I bought this kit mainly for the brushes. I haven't had a chance to use the included wax though. Brushes are great and the included case is very convenient for carrying. The scrapers are a little small, but will do fine if you don't have anything better. The file is fine for detuning or smoothing an edge.This kit is great for the price and definitely won't break the bank. You'll definitely find better individual items, but the brushes were what I was looking for and those are pretty standard across the board (pun intended).

This is a perfect kit it holds all of my tools minus an iron. Which I don’t mind since I prefer to keep my iron stored separately to protect the surface of it. The case is a good way to provide organization and protection for all my wax tools. Especially, when it comes to storing brushes.

Everything you need for waxing... except the Iron. You can buy a dedicated ski Iron- Like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0040OBXXU/My kit did come with a 100g pack of wax- which is good for about 3 waxings of a pair of skis. Haven't skied yet this season, so I haven't tried it out- but seems like it's probably good base wax. (update: Wax worked well- but I'm no wax expert.) The plastic scraper- unlike some of the reviews above, was a nice, sharp 4mm thick stiff plexi scraper that was perfect. It has a notch in one corner for cleaning wax off the edges, and a rounded corner if you need to dig wax out of your XC skis.I didn't use the metal scraper yet- but it seems fine/perfect.The three brushes- which would easily be $8-$15 for each of them, make it a good deal. There's a nice brass brush for texturing your dry base to accept the wax. then a stiff nylon bristled brush to help scrape off the wax residue that the plastic scraper didn't get, and then the horsehair brush to texture the waxed base. The one negative- I found the horsehair brush to be a bit stiffer than my preference- but I guess these things are subjective.they also give you 2 ptex candles. you'll only use one... as, your base is either black, or clear.This isn't a sharpening kit - but for some reason, they give you a file. It's a very common file choice for base issues. I wrapped some tape around one end to give me a 1 degree bevel on my base edges, However- this isn't a sharpening kit. Speaking of sharpening... you'll need that stuff tooThe best thing about this kit, is it seems like it's made to pair perfectly with this sharpening kit https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L9HV83K and all of those items WILL fit in the cool blue case that comes with this kit. (the Iron won't fit)So- buy the Iron above, the sharpening kit above, and this wax kit, and for about $120 you'll have a decent ski care setup that none of the other packaged kits can match. You may also need some vices.

Great kit for DIY ski or snowboard waxing. All you need is an iron, base cleaner, a set of thick rubber bands and you’re set for approximately 4-6 applications. I’ve used this kit four times now and it has held up well. The brushes need to be cleaned and maintained as well as all of the other items to get the most out of this kit. If you want the complete job done, including edges, you’ll need to order an edge bevel as well. REI was charging $40 with member prices...four sessions, $160 in savings. Do it yourself and use the extra money for flights to chase pow.

This probably isn't the best kit, but it works great for me. The carry bag is handy and protects the brushes and gear. I bought and edger and hone too. They all fit into the case. Not much room for much else, but you can add a couple small items. I would buy it again now that I have used it for a whole season.

This waxing kit is fantastic, and a great deal. If you bought each item separately, it cost twice as much. I also really like the case. My favorite is the horsehair brush, it is the finishing touch to get the perfect smoothness. I am so glad I purchased this kit.

Nice set for ski tune up with a few drawbacks. I’ve already used all three included brushes and they all worked as expected.Beware that the included plexi glass scraper is only 3mm thick and you will have to look for a replacement (4mm or/and 5mm) depending on your application. Also this scraper does not have rounded corners for cleaning out grooves in cross country skis. You would have to manually round up a corner or two using your own tools (and maybe with help from included file).The rigid shaped case that this set comes with is very well made and has some extra room for a few more accessories. In my case, I additionally store a few packages of Swix hot wax in it (see on the provided photo).Included file is regular metal file and is a waste in my case and it might be the same for many folks (don’t you all have a toolbox in your household and a set of files in it?)Can’t say anything about two base repair sticks since haven’t used them yet.

Habe dieses Jahr das erste Mal mit diesem Set den Service an meinem Snowboard durchgeführt und kann sagen, es ist perfekt für den häuslichen Gebrauch. Man hat alles was man braucht und kann perfekt damit arbeiten.it der Aufbewahrungsbox geht auch nichts verloren und man hat bei Bedarf alles beisammen.

Great little kit without breaking the bank. The brushes and scalpers are off good quality and it help me polish up four set of skis easily. Great value, IMO. The bronze brush was good at restoring the structure of the base for better waxing & gliding on snow. Well buy again. Great little storage container too. Can't go wrong for the price.
