Easily holds the 16†pot full of soil and hanging plants. It’s even easier than expected to lower the pot for watering. (Tip: once every 4-6 weeks just lower, put into the shower, water well and let drain all day. Then hang back up. Easy!)We wanted to give this a try with this 16†pot first because we planned to also use this to have two 20†heavier pots in our 2-story living room area. Well, it also worked perfectly! We had to purchase a longer rope but it looks great.It’s uncluttered and exactly what we wanted.

I need to lift a washing machine to put it on a pedestal. I anchored an eyebolt to a cross beam then attached the hoist and it worked flawlessly. I was able to lift the washing machine with ease and with the help of another person, shimmy it into place. This reduced needing 4 men to only 2 - very happy with the purchase. I may not need it for anything again - but it did the one job I needed flawlessly. Very happy with the purchase. The construction is good, package included 2 small straps (you'll need to purchase larger nylon straps to lift items separately), no slip gloves for pulling the rope and a diagram/instructions. Box was in perfect condition and it arrived on time.

Easy for a senior like myself to hoist with only a modicum of effort. The rope is a lot longer than is required for my purposes. As mentioned, it spins/twists without some load/tension but this is easily remedied. The reflective tape embedded in the rope makes it slightly uncomfortable when pulling the rope with bare hands therefor using gloves is recommended.I have to agree, the diameter of the bolts does not inspire great confidence for use with truly heavy loads.

I bought this pulley system to hang chandelier light fixtures and it works very well.For fixtures in beams, it is ready to go. For fixtures on flush ceilings I made a light bracket with a loop bolt that anchors to the framing behind the ceiling material then the pulley system clips right in. Worked for hanging kayaks up in the barn. The rope it comes with is definitely not rated for 1000lbs it’s probably closer to 200lb break strength. I went to the hardware and picked up 3/8†line rated for 200lbs (it came with 1/4†nylon rated in stores around 100lbs) and the 3/8†line works but creates a minor amount of resistance so definitely nothing larger than 3/8†line for this set. The original rope would’ve been fine for my use had it been longer, it can probably do 10-12 feet of lifting but I needed to raise it to 18’ from the floor so I was about 30’ short on rope.

A nice little rig like this certainly helps avoid getting hurt if you need to move, open, raise, or otherwise do something to a heavy item.
