Day 1 started at 70. Got up to 75, overcast in the AM, sun all PM. Solar pool cover on. Day 2 at 72, low overnight temp was 59. Sunny all day, up to 80. Day 3 starts at 77. Hits target temp of 84. Off overnight. Day 4, starts at 79, back up to 84 by midday. I am in Northern VT swimming in over 80 degree water on May 22nd. I have a 15 foot, 4 foot deep, round Intek poolSet up simple, easy to follow directions. Only slight problem is the plug. You need to attach it, super easy. Prongs go under screws, color coded. The instructions say the unit is good outside but that the plug is for indoor use only. It's a 5-foot cord. Can't plug that inside! I have it plugged into an extension cord, placed on a cement block with a bucket secured over it. Just need to keep it dry.Sept 15. Still swimming.

We bought this product at the end of April and by the end of August it no longer was working. It kept showing an error code of P4. So we followed the product pamphlet on troubleshooting the problem. Nothing worked. We contacted the manufacturer but they said their 90 day warranty ran out. Their advice was to contact an electrician! We contacted the seller but they said their warranty ran out after 60 days and gave us the troubleshooting directions. DAH, we'd already done all of that! If you want to spend $500.00 on a product that only works for 4 months, this product will do! But if you want your moneys worth on a product, this is not the product to buy!

This is a heater type I was not familiar with and was not sure it was working and suspected it was not. I contacted the seller and they gently educated me over a period of a few days and they were very supportive as well. After my education and their support, I am happy to say this heater is doing a good job of heating our small 1700 gallon pool. It does take some time to do that (almost 2 days so be patient) but after reaching the temperature setting, it maintains that very well. Good heater and wonderful customer support.

The unit does heat the poolOnly issue is that the heat exchanger does leak when the unit is onAll hoses are tight and sealedConcern is that the leak will get worse, and unit life is limited

My set up should have been pretty easy. I have a 300 gallon spa/pool with an intex 925 filter system. Was replacing the heater that came with spa/pool. Set up wasn't bad (did have to connect the power cable, but a google search was all that took). After set up, thats when the problems started:1) Description says the unit will heat water to 100 degrees. I CANT b/c the thermostat only goes to 95.2) Instructions say keep 7 feet from other objects. Every other heat pump on the market says 18-24 inches3) Heat time of 300 gallons of water at 14700 BTUs should be measured in hours. It took two days to go from 70 to 95. At 80% efficiency, it should have taken 6 hours. I suspect the heat exchanger description is false.4) Two weeks in, got a P4 error. Which means the flow of the water was not sufficient. Water flow rate was dead on, which means a bad pressure sensor.5) The final straw was trying to contact the manufacturer. Called 10 times over a 4 hour period. No answer. They said "we are having a high volume of calls". LOL, I bet they are.6) Instructions on the call announcement were send an email. Email response was: Allow 5 DAYS for a response or 10 DAYS if you are ordering a part.7) Requested a refund, got a return authorization. But I have to pay for shipping for a 50lb heat pump. Shipping cost is $110.End of the story: was very disappointed with the product and company support.

Works really well (14,500 BTU model). I have a 15ft round above ground pool and the highest water temp with the heater I have achieved is 92 on a sunny day. Takes about 12 hours of running the heater to achieve this. I tested it and the the heater itself outputs water at 88-94 degrees depending on the current pool temp. On a cloudy cooler day I would say it gets the pool to 86-90. You will definitely also need some sort of pool cover to get these results as this helps the pool get hotter (the instruction manual also recommends this). Overall surprised how well this works given it is significantly cheaper than similarly BTU rated heaters out there.

I purchased this last summerI used it for a month. It worked fine for that time then it stopped working.Unfortunately, I was leaving the country on a trip and forgot to contact the supplyerI live in Oregon, so we got several months of winterUntil now that we get back to spring/summerSo I contacting them this year to let them know about the situationOne of the first things they take forever to get back to youOr ignore you for a couple of weeks to see if you forget or not contact him anymoreTo then, tell me that the warranty doesn’t cover anythingMake sure you research the company that you buy in your pool heater since this are something that you wanna make sure you’re able to get help if needed.
