Bought this to replace a bad pump on my Balboa hot tub.It arrived 3 days earlier than expected.The inlet is 2†but the outlet is 2 1/2 inches. Nowhere in the description does it state this.No big deal for me as I just swapped the pump outlet from my old pump.Wiring is not simple.I had to do internet research to figure it out.The connections for my balboa spa are;Red- terminal 1White - terminal 3Black- terminal 4Green- ground to caseWorking good so far.

Specs in the description were contradictory but it is actually a 220v, 2hp 2speed spa pump. Best price, quick delivery, well packaged w no damage.My situation wasn't an exact bolt in replacement, but very close. The top wet end Inlet was perfect but the wet end outlet thread was too large for my spa fitting. Luckily the end housing plate on my old pump w the rt size fitting was an exact swap w the new O-ring. Just unbolted my old end plate and swapped it over.Rarely does my luck go this well.Took photos of the wiring connections before I took off the connectors and carefully interpreted the conns on the new terminals.New pump is nearly silent when running on low.Time will tell how long it lasts. Got 10yrs on the orig.Overall a great experience and I'd buy it again. Hope the attached pics help w your questions.

The pump is fine .. the intake is 2.5" -not 2". I had to re-plumb the hot tub and use the 2.5" adapter that it came with and that took some time to do because I had to cut off the original intake adapter and glue it all back together.It was stated in the illustrated description that it was the standard 2" but it isn't.*After finally connecting the pump, it runs great and is quiet.*****I would have rated this 5 stars if not for the wrong size plumbing description.

The pump is very easy to install. It is not too loud and it comes with several accessories that makes connecting to pipes much easier. The manual could use some more instructions on how to wire it for the use of single and dual speed. Customer service did not pick up the phone when I called and I did not leave a voicemail. You will not find wiring instructions anywhere, so you should know what you’re doing when wiring it.

Intake requires adapter to fit 2 inch. That’s not an option for my spa. Tried numerous times to reach them via phone and email without success. Returned the pump and will buy from a different vendor
