I would rate 5 stars but it could use some improvements. It's great for crafts but you have to line it with something if working with delicate items such as jewelry or fine stones, etc. Specifically precious metals. I used some adhesive backed felt and it works great, now. The suction cup also kind of sucks...or actually stops sucking as much lol....after a bit of use, which is disappointing because at first it worked so well it was unreal. I guess I shouldn't have expected it to last, but it was great while it lasted. If there was a way to keep it working that well the entire life of the unit, I would rate 5 stars and recommend 10/10...due to having to add the felt for almost any craft I can think of and the cup losing suction, I'll do 4 stars and 9/10 recommend, because it's a great price and still a really nice little product and value. That is a solid, honest, extremely critical review. In reality, I love the product even though I had to amp it up a little for my needs.

For the size and weight, it's surprisingly super strong! Suction is solid on my countertop. Works great.

I needed to mount a Logitech clip on camera in a fixed location. These cameras don't even clip on to a monitor or laptop very well and putting one on a shelf or desktop won't work unless there is an added mount. Rather than make a mount I decided this cheap, small vise would perform the function. The base is heavy enough for the vise to stand up without the suction cup engaged. The jaws open about 2 inches.

i purchased this to be able to hold still watches when the bracelets use screws to hold the links in. because you need two screwdrivers to undo one bar the band/watch must be held still. this fit the bill as i didn't want to mount a big vise, i wanted the smallest i could find and the suction cup mount is amazing powerful and got the job done for me the first time i used it. it's only good for small items as the vise's jaws only open a short ways. i do highly recommend it for small delicate work. it's not made to torque down anything.

It seemed like a good idea to have a small portable vise and it is! Unfortunately one of the requirements for a vise is that it holds what you are working on in one position and this vise just didn't stay stuck!I have tried it on several different surfaces and although it stuck at first it was only a few minutes until the suction cup released.

The mini-vise was inexpensive. It's small and made of lightweight plastic -- not for heavy duty work. But it is fine for holding something small that you are working on.
