This is the 4th purchase. Two for me two for her. They last @ 4 - 5 yrs depending on use and wear.They are the best on ice.

serious spikes for good grip. DO NOT use these indoors as the metal spikes will mess up your floors. Use outside only. There are other brands that you can wear inside (like horizontal springs) but these are spikes. works great on ice.

I've used them two times, and the second day one of them just broke.I never use them if there's no ice or snow, stopping to take them off if I need to cross over a bridge or a road.I wouldn't recommend for hiking.
