I'm a professional musician and play multiple instruments. I'm a novice at trombone, but experience has taught me that the mouthpiece is of utmost importance for any wind instrument. After a bit of research, I settled on the Yamaha YAC SL48 for my trombone. This is a good mouthpiece for all-around playing. Many professionals use it, and it's also great for beginners. I've found it easy to produce a satisfying tone with this mouthpiece. Recommended.

I am relatively new to the trombone, and I have found this mouthpiece to be easy to learn on and flexible in all registers. I don't have much experience with other trombone mouthpieces, but this one works well for me.

I ordered this mouthpiece after buying a trombone off of a friend, which came with a 6 1/2 AL. Being a trumpet player, I felt that this size was a little too big for me, and the mouthpiece looked disgusting (probably containing some new type of bacteria or something).This mouthpiece is just right! It came earlier than expected, in perfect condition! The box had the air filled protector things (I have no idea if there's some scientific name for them...pouches?) and came in a box. I definitely recommend this product to any trombone player, as after researching more, found this to a standard for most :)Hope this helps!

A good match for my Reynolds Contempora, gives a good response in all octaves; a warm sound when I need it, and cuts through our swing band sound when the music calls for it.
