The company's service was great and quality of the product is what I would expect from Yamaha. Unfortunately, it did not fit my daughter's school issued instrument. Since I could not locate the proper one, I used a grinder to adjust it and re-bent the shaft a little bit to my liking. Works like a charm now, and my daughter is very happy with it. We would use MusicGiftsPlus again for future purchases.

The bend/angle was good but the part that connects/slides to the horn did not fit(too big). I wasn't aware that there are different sizes. It can be filed down with a grinder if you have one and have the time. I ended up buying a cheaper lyre for a trumpet and bent it to fit.

So you are in marching band and they require a lyre? Well, do not use this one for your mellophone. The shape of it is opposite of what it needs to be. It didn't even fit in the hole that is was supposed to. Get a trumpet lyre instead. I will save you your time and money. Trust me!

DONT GET THIS IF YOU HAVE A KING MELLOPHONE, IT DOESN’T FIT. I’ve looked online and can’t find a SINGLE king mellophone lyre, kinda thinking of following what the other people have said and get a trumpet lyre and bend it to fit or grind down the one I have to make it fit. Again, don't buy a Yamaha lyre for your KING mellophone.

We order 6 lyres from them and one of them was defective and they refused to give us a replacement.
